My conspiracy theory - both coco and hachama were asked by cover to take an indefinite break. this is a japanese-like indirect way to firing someone. Most of vtuber income is from superchats, so this makes their living situation unrealistic. the obvious outcome is that they will probably leave voluntarily... thus giving cover the excellent excuse to say "we are so sorry to see their decision to leave..."

coco decided to just leave. she needs money obviously.

hachama is going to university, so no point in her leaving.

if cover suddenly starts allowing holomems to play chinese games like muse dash and genshin impact, i think that will reinforce the theory.

You'd be an idiot to think that's the main income for VTubers from Hololive. For indies or small agencies, sure, but Cover more than likely pays them a salary on top of that and other factors. Lets say you want to be a faggot and give your money to your oshi, Coco. First YouTube takes 30% of your simp money, then Cover takes about 35% after that cut (iirc), and whatever is left goes to the Coco.

Spoon feeding some basic math for you retard:

I'll use $100 USD for easy to swallow numbers.

After YT takes their 30% cut of the SC, we're left with $70.00 (30% off of $100, duh).

Now Cover comes in for their 35% share of the simp money. 70 x 35/100 = 24.5.

For every $100, the Coco would only get $24.50. I don't know about JP tax laws so the actual amount is probably even lower after that.

It's well known the best way to support your favorite VTuber is to buy merch/VPs since YT doesn't suck 30% of it. I've seen massive merch shrines by idol fags (honestly disturbing) because they know their oshi will get more of their money that way. On top of the money from the merch, Cover most likely gives Coco a salary, and then you have sponsors and shit for more money. Superchatting is literally just throwing almost all of your money away.

For the next, even if we take your incorrect understanding of 35% of what's left, 70 x 35/100 = 24.5 works out Cover's share not hers (that would be $70-$70(35/100)=$45.5). Finally, even after all of that a quick look at playboard shows superchats of $2,295,771, 35% of which $803,519, which means you think Cover has to have her on a salary of $535,679 per year for superchats to not be the main source of income, which is frankly insane.
