twitch fanbase is more dedicated. you get per capita more subs.

If I hear vtubers talking about being broke at 1k youtube views while 1k twitch views means swimming in money.

>> No.49860269

>>49859569
completely the opposite
twitch views and subs are meaningless, the most popular streams are rarely because they are popular streamers but because you get fortnite codes or some shit for watching them, or they got put on the front page because it's one of the 342 days a year they have to celebrate black and/or gay and/or trans people

Basically gaining in-game items for watching stremes combining with the fact that they count embedded and multi tabs it's an unholy combination of botted or quasi botted stremes that people are watching just for the item's i game, and they have a 50/50 revenue split from all shit youtube pays based on vod views so yeah youtube definitely pays more depending on where you live that is.

>> No.49861035

>>49859569
The entire ecosystem is dedicated to extracting money from viewers. It's why every twitch streamer's interface is polluted with "sub goals", "latest donor", "latest subscriber", etc., with all sorts of paid interaction. The system works well if you're a streamer who likes constantly shilling yourself, or if you're a viewer who wants to be told how great you are for giving them money. If you're actually interested in the content, though, from either side, it sucks.

This isn't true anymore. The Korean vtubers have been declining recently. I'd say they're comparable to the Korean vtubers now.

just because they're both on twitch doesn't mean it's the same thing, it's two different markets

>> No.49861545

>>49858152
This is kind of flawed since it's using followers not ccv but still not good regardless. It honestly really shook things up for the EN Twitch vtuber scene when Nyanners, Veibae, Silvervale left.
Suddenly, the English Twitch vtuber scene became indie-dominated.

>> No.49861724

>>49861191
Dosent change that fact that it is a small market for vtubers retard

>> No.49861768

>>49861724
Twitch is still relatively new for vtubers though. So they haven't really had as much time to build up followers as non vtubers.
There are some streamers out there with more followers than many of these vtubers yet have a lower ccv just because they've been streaming for like over a decade.

>> No.49861858

>>49861768
It's not? It's just a little younger then the youtube market it's just that the people that watch vtubers arnt on twitch it's a rotton platform dominated by react stremers it's pretty much impossible for a vtuber to reach there level.

Same for JP when they get going.
East Asians follow/sub less compared to 'follow and forget' westerners, but are more dedicated.

Even with the assumption that KRs bot streams more than NA people, their chat is massively more involved even at lower ccv.

Some people on this board were coping with "But Isegye" when it was clear VShojo was dominating english twitch vtubing. Even though no one compares east asian and western chuuba numbers on youtube.
But now VShojo isn't dominant anymore after losing 3 members, so I don't get why they're doing this still.

Cus u gotta differentiate the markets. You can't just say Ironmouse/VSJ is dominating the Twitch scene, when is reality its KRs. You gotta add the EN disclaimer or anons think u r claiming Twitch as a whole.

I mean if we're being realistic 80% of the time this board just talks about EN stuff by default. It's probably safe to assume that's what people are talking about most of the time.
And of the 20% of the time they don't, most of that is over JP Holos.

By the "popular convert" rule, he shouldn't have counted from the start, but it's different for indies.
They don't have the luxury to drop their established, no cam channels to make a new "full vtuber" one.

I didn't know rpr was that big relative to the rest of the twitch vtuber scene, kinda tragic IMO

>> No.49862804

A lot of the "size" of twitch is noviews, the platform is super top heavy and has a huge dropoff outside of big streamers.
There was a stat a year ago that showed if you had on average 6 viewers you were on the top 6% of twitch streamers, and to be in the top 1% you only needed 50.
