I still maintain that moving to a season-based system of streaming would help with this kind of stuff e.g seasonal streamers on break and active through a rotation throughout the year because most of the time it seems breaks are brought on by burnout and depressive episodes that I'm sure aren't helped by their schedules being year-round. It also helps with lower-viewed streamers to be given a chance if someone's oshi is on break and you want to fill the hole she left for that time. would never happen, but I like the idea enough to think it could help

Eh it may not even be driven by Cover in particular. Tons of Youtubers have talked about the way the algorithm works basically forces them to keep posting videos nonstop or forever drop out of competition. So it would only be Cover's fault if the talents were completely okay with losing tons of viewers and failing. I suppose this gets back to the debate of--are talents afraid of being significantly less subscribers/viewers than others and graduating (see Akirose) because Cover threatens to can them if they fall too far behind, or is it their own competitiveness? I would assume Cover does push them behind the scenes, but it's hard to tell, I've seen some REAL self-driven autism of competitiveness and numberfagging on behalf of totally independent Youtubers.
