I kind of like the concept of Project: Hope. It's the execution that leaves much to be desired. I don't know if they could manage it now, but it would be cool if they could scout out one or two more singers to add to Project: Hope, giving it new life as well as giving IRyS a person or people to collab with specifically on musical endeavors. If they could manage to make something like that collab between IRyS and AZKi be just a routine part of P:H that would be incredible. More likely, though, they'd hire a freakin' dude singer to do love song duets with IRyS and further ruin the potential P:H once had.

The biggest and most damning failure of P:H was not allowing IRyS to give enough input on the songs, which in turn made her much less passionate about the whole thing. Even AZKi under INNK was writing and sometimes even composing a good portion of her songs since mid 2020, but IRyS needs to ask her managers permission to do a fucking cover. I still don't get why she had such a different treatment and I just hope Cover just nukes the whole thing, fires everyone involved and let IRyS be a normal Holomem.

to be honest, I don't think Project Hope was that bad in term of "success". Sure it didn't bring in Suzy or Mori number but compare to other music focus Holo like Sora and AZKi, it's decent, not great, not horrible. Other Vsingers in the vtubing scene do way worse but still manage to pull through and keep going for years now.
If Project Hope is scraped, I don't doubt IRyS' decision has a big part to it. I don't think it is though, she still has the bs restriction to her cover songs and EN as a whole pretty much stop in term of projects (aside from Bae). Maybe they're putting their resources to the concert in July?

Do U is a straight up banger with over 3M views so far and that it failed to land at fes was entirely the fault of the music backing her up. It was straight up awful alternating between imperceptibly quiet to drowning out her her vocals entirely. I was hyped as fuck to hear her perform it, but when it actually happened I just felt so bad for her. Kiara can clearly perform, as Hinotori last year proved, but what she got this year was straight up criminal.

Yeah only Fever night is that low, all her others did really well. Her worst performing ori song did better than most of IRyS's things sadly, even her worst performing covers did better than most of IRyS's songs. IRyS' originals are just really not that great to be honest.
If they were amazing people would listen to them a lot more frequently even without MV and with spoilers.

I love her voice a lot and have a whole bunch of her casual karaoke stuff on my phone, and even then I've only listened to most of her originals once.
They just aren't doing it for me at all, which sucks ass since she clearly put a lot of work into her recordings.

One of my recent watches I wound up being completely alone and catching Renfield on its last day got me one other person in the theater. It's great.

Yup. Rather often. In the summer it's part of how I get in exercise. I bike out to the theater, watch a movie, maybe grab a bite to eat and bike home. If I just tossed it on my living room TV I'd miss out on an hour or more of activity. Trust me, my fat ass needs it.
