On paper, something happened and drove a wedge between the two. They repaired their relationship enough to release some orisongs and collab on stream now, but the shadows of that wedge is still there.
On a more business (aka rrat) level, the pairing doesn't benefit them anymore. They're at the top of the box, probably share a huge percentage of viewers, so them continuing the group doesn't make any business sense. Instead, Pekomari and Micomet works better since Marine and Suisei can bring people outside the box and offer things they don't already have (like merchandising power for Suisei and brand expansion for Marine), so they are better pairings for business.

Miko is already getting tired of the shipfagging, she said during a stream this weekend that if people kept bothering her about it she would stop doing MiComet collabs. She then said it was a joke but we all know how that ended with Pekora. Delusional yuri schizos keep trying to say she’s fucking Suisei and apparently it’s getting out of control.
Sadly they will end up burning their own ship and it will end just like PekoMiko.
They are even trying to blame Kanata who made a few MiComet jokes when they do the exact same thing to Miko by mentioning the ship on stream. Does anyone else think they’ve already gone too far?

That is referring to now. Pekora and Miko (at least visibly) seems to have mended whatever caused their rift in 2021, so actual unironic business explains why they still don't really continue that group now other than some orisongs to capitalize on nostalgia.
Back in 2021 something caused Pekora to distance herself from Miko. Miko's own guess is that it's fanshipping going too far, but since Pekora is the one that started it, we'd have to get her side to fully understand what actually happened. The rrats range from "pekora hates the shipping/the gays" (>>49440665) to "pekora doesn't want Miko to leech anymore" to some really weird and nonsensical ones.
