I was reliably informed Cover was going bankrupt a few days into their IPO.

Can we buy this yet? Or is it still for selected investors only?

>> No.49205309

Fuck, I shoulda bought it when they first introduced IPO. I feel like vtubing in general isn't a long term thing, but just a short term fad, that's why I didn't buy. They did finish the new studio, which means they're pretty much all-in on it, so I was still thinking, shit, if it is short term, then this studio would be a huge dumpster fire as a business.

But then again, Meta is also going in on the virtual universe shit and I feel like that's just stupid and should stick with real life investments...

But I also think the general public is also retarded and would still go into this virtual shit. No one owning anything, but renting everything and staying poor for their entire lives. I can already see homeless people with VR headsets saying they own millions in the virtual world.

Unlike meta who is the whole goal is to create a platform. You can see what Yagoo's end goal here which is to create good content that will push the boundaries of Vtuber as a whole. Yagoo is not here for the money he is here to build a history,

The thing about this studio is that it can be used not only for vtubers which means huge potential.

>> No.49212941

Yeah, with this studio.
I think cover is aiming to be multi entertainment agency, instead of focusing on vtuber only.

Hmm, that's true. Yagoo did mention that they're an entertainment company than strictly 'vtuber/idol'. If Meta does succeed in making the virtual world mainstream, then Cover 'would'(not sure if there are other similar companies as large as them? on the Western side?) be a possible lead in the virtual entertainment industry?
Entertainment is always popular no matter when or where.
