On September 24 Akai Haato streamed herself checking out her youtube analytics, and mentioned that some of her viewers came from Taiwan. A day later Kiryu Coco did the same thing and also mentioned that some of her viewers came from Taiwan. Chinese fans got pissed. Cover had to do something or else they would lose a big portion of their market. So two days later both Haato and Coco were suspended for three weeks and Cover made an apology towards China.

After this event Coco faced effectively a "soft-embargo" on her endeavors as a Hololive Vtuber many of which came directly from staff themselves, these include but are not limited to;

>The heavy restrictions on Coco's attempts to collaborate with other members
>Coco was blacklisted from appearing on Hologra
>As the antis spammed her chat to oblivion Cover did very little to help for many months including the most damning incident where Coco took a list of her worst antis to Cover to have them intervene and help her chat only to have Cover deliberately give moderator status to said antis who then used this power to ban many of Coco's most loyal fans (source - https://streamable.com/1fq1y4 )

All of these things are objective incidents which cannot be disputed, what followed would be that on Jun 9th Coco would announce she would be graduating for "reasons she cannot talk about". Simultaneously a video was posted claiming that it was Chinese supporting elements that were the true cause for Coco's graduation of which you can watch below;

Although it is unsupported hearsay we can see from previous actions taken by Cover that likely many of the things talked about in the expose video are not only plausible but very likely. Not to mention the level of shilling each and every one of these threads gets weighed under. Cover intentionally harassed and belittled Coco's efforts in an attempt to force her to self-graduate all to the ends of attaining favorship from China and getting their hands on that sweet chink money.

They knew what they were doing. Coco was American. This was a deliberate smear campaign to oust an American from a Japanese company using Chinese influence.

HOWEVER!

China could only get away with what cover, a Japanese company, let them. The fact that they won is a damning indictment of Cover above all others because of course chinks are gonna chink. On the other hand, why is a Japanese company firing an American to placate China? It's obviously an act of international microaggression towards America.

All the big translator groups were run by the chinks, the talent did exclusive bilibili streams and frequent collabs with Chinese developed games such as Azur Lane and Muse Dash. All of that was slipping out of their hands from some cute yankee shark girl and her friends, and as pretty much everyone knows the talent most responsible for the creation of EN is Coco. It’s pretty clear management wanted her to quit. I said a while back that management was trying to bully Coco and Haachama out of Hololive, but people couldn’t believe it at the time. I also said a part of it might also have to do with them being less family friendly, given that Holo is moving in that direction lately. Maybe from Western influences? Either way, management wanted them gone. I think Haachama is probably next.

We unironically owe the chinks an apology. They were right. Cover was a shitbag black company who took advantage of people and didn't respect their partners or talents. This is why other agencies don't get the same hate, because they're not engaged in these kinds of practices and don't disrespect the markets they seek to tap. Cover betraying Coco was just another grain if sand in their pile of backstabbing those who helped broaden their marketing and appeal. Jesus fucking christ. What a twist. Fubuki once basically said that, as long as she's around, people can trust that Hololive/Cover isn't a corrupt black company. If she ever leaves Hololive, even if she doesn't say anything negative, that's when all viewers should lose faith in the company.

This is most likely caused by Youtube's draconian bullshit. They consider anything brightly colored to be "for kids" implicitly, even if a content creator specifically labels their content "adults only/not for kids".
This is compounded by their recent TOS change that states that Youtube may monetize and place ads on content that they've demonetized - in other words, the creator can't get the ad money so youtube gets it all, which means that even unmonetized content needs to be sterilized for advertisers.
