Bear in mind because the meetings are all Japan time because that's where headquarters is, which means it's very possibly at like 4am for a lot foreign Holos. Imagine having to set an alarm and show up to a meeting and sit there for an hour and it turns out the entire thing was for almost-nothing, and this was like every single week if not several times a week. So yeah I do get it.

Still not really that smart to complain about management in public however, the odds are approximately 100.0% that they don't like it when talents air dirty laundry. Possibly they'd be a bit extra sensitive/on-edge about it after Zaion leaked like water through a tennis racquet.

It's upper management that pushes for them to happen.
Upper management are always scum-tier slackers that sit around doing sweet fuck-all every day while occasionally writing a report at the last minute for the CEO to say "lol print more money so money counter goes up".
Worse, it's usually always filled with the CEOs friends, so usually people that are utterly retarded and have no real business sense and half the time end up going defunct because of this. Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case in most vtuber companies, but they still are pretty anal with the obsessive meetings when Discord messages and emails is more than enough to catch up with all the talents projects and work.

They are responsible for a ton of teams on average and don't always have the time to get into daily operations of every project so they just throw meetings at issues that could be resolved with an e-mail if team leads were communicating directly.
