I really thought they had a chance.

I wanted Juna to succeed the most.

Better than most small corpos. Usually only one of them breaks 100k.

Rin's computer hort put a stop on anything. On the other hand it was a great time to announce generation 2 since enough time has elapsed AND you had someone riding the algorithm. The single person debut was probably the only misstep so far.

Hot damn, she’s pulling a Gura already…

why can't they just buy her a new pc? don't they spend all day shilling they pay for everything? what's a replacement computer cost to them?

What do you even mean, their previous branch was in the brink of death (almost completely dead now) they surpassed every expectation and are among the most talked small corpos in the market. They're quite succesful considering everything, we'll see how things turn out after EN2 debuts though

>> No.49027612

>>49017473
They did have a chance, it's actually a pretty solid lineup. But they immediately started either streaming the same content and other corpos or collabing with outsiders or trying to leach other vtuber brands.

I enjoy watching Fuyo because her streams are comfy and she enjoys streaming. She's doing well.

The fuck you talking about? They have wildly surpassed even the loftiest expectations. They leapfrogged every other corpo except the big 3 in a matter of months. New gen on the way, offcollabs and new orisongs coming...what the hell do you need to say it's a success??

Rin has regularly been a 4view since her shorts got boosted on the algo and Yuko consistently hits anywhere between 650-950 viewers. Pochi and Fuyo occupy roughly the same viewer bracket in hitting between 200-450 viewers depending on the type of stream. Juna fell off the most, having had a steady 400-500ish viewers for a period before her donothon that's slowly collapsed to between 100-300, even dipping into 2view territory at times.
Overall the company is doing fine and has even turned profit according to the CEO despite their large amount of investments (around $11k per model and $3k given to each member for debut cover, stream assets, etc.) into the talents. Only time will tell if the 2nd EN generation will be successful and turn a profit though considering they pledged to quadruple the debut spending compared to the first gen.

Why lie about turning a profit? They are FAR from turning a profit

>> No.49034573

Hololive 0/1/Idol Project was less popular.
Getting *very* popular is mostly luck, but they're doing really well.
More importantly, since we're just out here watching streams, they're all quality talents.
EN3 isn't likely to be as good.

Same, for both reasons. Borderline daugtherfu material. Fuyo and Pochi are the two I've found the most entertaining, with Juna in third; her... unique sense of humor is entertaining to me.

It baffles me how a Small corpo can provide this amount of support and Bigger corpos like seen with Niji's just don't despite their massive income, one would expect the opposite

>> No.49042525

>>49042171
That's how it is for startups
Idol is still in its startup stage with angel investors. They wont be seeing any money till like 3-5 years from now if they get lucky enough to make it till then.
Sooner or later though those investors will either be looking for a return or will be pulling the plug.

>> No.49042638

It looks like they're doing good for a small corp.

>> No.49042725

>>49042171
In the case of Niji, I assume it's because they want to throw 30 talents at the wall and even if only 10 of them get any real traction, they still make a profit since their only direct monetary investment is the cost of the model and rigging (and their animations/face capture aren't exactly top tier---Idol's are definitely better---so the costs are likely on the cheaper end). You could, of course, argue that if AnyColor invested some money into their new talents they'd be more likely to succeed, but evidently they're not willing to take that risk.

I've always assumed it was standard for Vtuber agencies to not provide start-up money, including Hololive, but I'm starting to get the sense that this isn't the case.

Can't speak on her tendency to not play many games, but her habit of dropping games is because she has some pretty heavy ADHD. I don't remember if she's outright said it, but her habits are very similar to mine before I was medicated.
