Anyone at that level is not making money or doing it seriously, it's basically a hobby.
A lot of girls pick up vtubing as an excuse to play games from their backlog with an audience around so they don't feel lonely.
In that case they might not care if they hurt their growth by having guys around.
Tho for sure some of them will be unaware of it, no matter how obvious and discussed this is there's gonna be some fully clueless people too.
And in some cases it might just be woman moments. They want the growth but don't want to sell out to have it so they can't compromise and try to have it all.
I actually saw this happen with a flesh streamer, mid 2 view, her whole gimmick was being a neet 6/10 asian girl and being a pseudo GFE, then she got a real BF and started adding him to her streams and she dropped from mid-high 2's to low 2's.
