With the coco situation, it's a reminder that our oshi's are temporary, and it's not a great idea to build an emotional reliance on them.
Either I'm doing roommate reps or just gonna go cold turkey on their content for a bit.
>reason being is that if watame or polka leave, I will very likely fall into depression and ruin anything i've build up in life. My heart sank hearing coco's shaky voice, I can't take my oshi's being in pain like that

I don't get you people, did you really think using a parasocial relationship with an anime girl as emotional support was something with long term stability.

Like a fine whiskey, I only crack it out for a few special post

Not long term, but at least another year while I settle into my new job and get shit figured out.
To be fair, these parasocial relationships have treated me better than my mother's relationship or either of my girlfriends, so I'm coming out on top right now
Sad? Maybe. But I'm 3 for 3 on real woman breaking my heart, so I'm better off with no real romantic relationships for now

What a fucking weird world we live in where dudes gotta look into anime girls for an emotional connection.

Name a relationship that does. Honestly, the statistics for any kind of relationship is bad

It's either an emotional connection to anime girls or music. And I've shed more tears to music than vtubers

Baby's first graduation I see. It's ok you will get use to it. Look at Polka, she go graduated but is now doing better than ever. Graduation is just one step in the journey.

If you want to train yourself to be strong then go do your reps and watch Polka's graduation from last year 100 times to immunize yourself.

I've seen other graduations, but this one hit hard enough for me to languish about it for a few days I wasn't super invested into hololive when aloe got axed, but it hurt when kira got axed.
I'm only on rerun 18/100, gonna knock out at least 5 more times tonight

"Polka"'s graduation was sad as fuck tho. Seeing Tamaki crying like that and the song they sang together broke my heart despite having never watched her previous persona. Even if they were to move on to a new company, it does not stop it from being absolutely heart wrenching in the moment.

Real life friendships for one.

I've prepared since I started liking her. Always expect the worse and remind yourself nothing good lasts forever. Recent upsets for me was Miura's death and I guess Coco's graduation announcement (sign of a major holopocalypse soon), both would make normal people cry and shit themselves, but for me, I just have less things to worry. I've reached a kind of state of mind where I'm depressed but not really, I can't really cry anymore, there were points where I had tears and that familiar chest pain but couldn't go beyond it and I would immediately "sober" up from it, returning to neutral. Basically be as autistic and logical as possible.

Yes. But realize that it's all entertainment and only the best entertainers are able to reach into your soul and make you feel things. Be glad you were able to experience the most heart wrenching stream ever. When was the last time you saw a movie that made you have real emotions?

Better to have love and lost than to never have loved at all and all that....

Post high school the half life on friendships is pretty damn short, even if you're not a schizo/shut in like half this board.
