Does anyone else feel like hololive is way overhyped? Everyone seems to be talking about how amazing they are, but to be honest, I haven't seen anything particularly special about their streams. Sure, they use fancy technology and have cute character designs, but that doesn't necessarily equate to good content. In fact, I think there are plenty of other VTubers out there doing similar things, but with more interesting topics and better production values overall. Am I missing something here? Is there something specific about hololive that sets them apart from the rest? Or am I right in thinking they may not deserve quite as much praise as they seem to receive here?

They have arguably the best fans in a sense that they hype every single thing Hololive does, no matter how insignificant it may be. Their content might not be the best, and they might not be as entertaining as a great number of other vtubers out there, but their fans will try their hardest to make it seem like they're the best. And it works.

I feel that the Vtuber's are over-hyped. A Gamer Vtuber is no different from a Fleshtuber. A GFE Vtuber is just Livejasmin Thot hiding behind an anime avatar. Artist Vtubers are just closeted ugly nobodies who aren't debuffed by their ugly nicotine and alcohol addicted aging faces.
Hololive beats the whole circus because it copies its portfolio from the Japanese entertainment industry. It is popular because of cultural differences.
