Most of the huge subscriber growth for JP and EN came during the Covid boom era and even the hottest talents in growth (Marine and Suisei) get only a fraction of what everyone was getting in 2020 and 2021. The exception to that rule is ID's Kobo but eventually she will hit her soft cap at some point as well.

I wouldn't judge the gap between Roboco and Aki and take from it that Aki is inferior. Rather look at that gap and think 'those are 200k viewers who have quit watching vtubers before they got a chance to watch and subscribe to Aki'. It's probably safe to say at least 30-60% of the subscriber totals for all the girls are 'dead' viewers who are no longer part of the vtubing hobby.
