If hard work isn't getting recognized, then that means it's a flawed system. While other platforms aren't perfect, it's a lot easier to get recognized on your own merit than it is on Twitch. On Twitch, you are pretty much forced simply to become friends with the top streamers to get anywhere, which encourages its streamers to focus on that and nothing else. I'm a nonvtuber 3 view. All this year vtubers have been raiding me their 1 viewer. I don't really interact with other streamers all I do is stream so don't really know what the norm is for networking but I've tried raiding them back sometimes. All they do is actively play ads, complain about the grind to be partner, have a shit load of gimmicks and redeems , have a music playlist going instead of commentary and like 2-3 other vtubers as a crutch for conversing. I get the sense they try to latch onto other channel communities to gain more viewers. All of them seemingly stuck as 1 view. Sometimes they break into 2 view but none retain it unless they do coomer stuff. What I find interesting is some of them have really nice models and hardware. I guess having a great setup isn't everything. I dont think this stuff is exclusive to vtubers or anything, just thought it was relevant.

People make content every day and I promise you a decent (not all) amount is pretty good and maybe even to your tastes but you're fooling yourself if you think just "making content people like" is enough in the current market. You're directly competing with not only with the thousands of others trying to do the same as you, bigger names who have audiences that don't care about moving on/want to look for something new, and the hundred other everyday things that distract people's attention. There isn't a magic button that makes you go viral or relevant. You can grind out content creation every single day but if you just don't luck out then it will never amount to anything.
