I'd go as far to say that the company is increasingly focusing on their home market. All the EN girls make JP music by and large and are making huge efforts to learn to speak and read japanese. You don't see anywhere near the same effort in the other direction from the japanese members (There are exceptions like Haachama). Back in 2020 it did genuinely feel like there was an equal effort for both JP and Overseas fanbases but more and more it feels like overseas are an afterthought and the EN girls are being conditioned for JP viewers who are more interested in foreign girls.
