i dont think that word can really be applied to that flayfic. there's a difference between good writing and complex language for the sake of being complicated, and that flayfic definitely did not seem like the latter to me.

You can think that, power too you, nothing wrong with disliking it either, but like, the history of writing would def defend being extremely descriptive like that. Capturing not just an image of a moment, but the feelings of that moment too.
Like, there is such thing as "too much" I would say, but for me, even once the picture is painted, even if all those extra words don't change what you see, they make it just glow brighter ans brighter

if I didn't misunderstand any of it, as a child he formed a contract with Chibitrus to get out of his current living situation and they formed a pact where Flay became part android? (this part is not clear to me) and immortal. His age is how many times he has died which is why that fic described death as instant and fleeting. He also physically connects to the R-TRUS through his tail which is attached to his spine.
