Based on your picture and the recipe, it seems to be a thickness problem, but also, what's your elevation? Although elevation matters more to things that rise and such, heat transfer in an oven could be minutely affected as well so you might want to play with oven temps and probably more importantly, rack height

I haven't played the ekibox one but I played its prequel, the one about Shu from the same devs, and it was decent, no deep story just silly rpg-maker standard shenanigans.
It's just, when it comes to fanworks, even fanfiction, once the number of words used breaches 100k or so I start to doubt how much of it is related to the actual work/person it's about. You need to fill those hundreds thousands words with something and the more there are the more it becomes about your own characters. So I tend to avoid those humongous works. Going to give this one a chance but my expectation are so low it will be surprising if it doesn't surpass them.

There are people with serious writing chops on this project (not me tho) but with a huge team like this, I think the main thing is... writing style shifts? Having to make all the routes feel possible in the same game made some of the edges that I (maybe!) personally liked get sanded out a bit, but that's life.

Q41 taking almost an hour to do did not bode well for the rest of the stream, but fortunately, after struggling through it with crab claws and some very phallic objects, the rest of the levels went comparatively smoothly. I do have to say that the solemn piano music that plays in the bgm for this section was a lot less mind-numbing than the previous track. It's like a moment of respite... I'm also proud of him for uttering phrases like "let's try something different" every now and then, takes a real intelligent individual to see that maybe doing the same thing for an hour straight won't get you anywhere. He even learned an incredible new strat today that involved picking up the ball like a crane! Nevermind the actual usefulness of it (or lack thereof). It was pretty fun watching him struggle through levels, he got a little pissed off a few times when he fucked something up after almost getting it and there was a lot of "piling on random bullshit until it works" involved but it's all part of his master plan. Feels good to cheer with him when he finally gets lucky on a run that's indistinguishable from the rest. After an arduous journey, owari da (literally). Congrats on completing primary 3! He was cute today and in pretty high spirits, seems like he's mostly recovered from his cold now. Glad he could stream after the EN x ID collab earlier, which I was able to catch a bit of. All the routes are written by different teams so the introduction of your character is... bad, it lacks cohesion and if you don't pick Luca or Shu you can forget everything that happens in the first couple of minutes. Also I dont understand why they bother with the pronoun inclusivity if 'you' act like a very feminine girl for every single route.
Once you pick one of the boys you get three or four date scenarios with basic and repetitive dialogue and that's it, the scene cuts and time skips feel really awkward. The bad routes are worse, they feel very convoluted and I don't understand why they needed to include them. There's a couple of good references of things that each of them has said on stream, a mysterious roomate that may or not may appear depending of the route, a lot of Noctyx references, custom music tracks, very good CGs, and the interface is very easy to use.
My favorite route was Shu's, the writing was good and the storyline was cute. Then it's probably Luca's, a bit cliche, but overall good. Next one is Vox's and it goes down hill from here, its ok for someone that doesn't watch him, not lore acurate and out of character sometimes, saved by the Baba segment. Mysta's was very dramatic, more of a different storyline, it felt like a fanfiction condensed in a VN. Ike's was weird, it had some of my favorite CGs and they had the concepts, but the writing was the worst. I got the feeling that the author was heavily self-inserting themselves into another character.

I just started Ike's route and so far 5 chapters in and it's been rough. And now I see that he's apparently the worst, god damn it. The CG of him tripping on a stick is so far the absolute highlight, the awkward kiss is the lowest point.
Also interesting how the one who had the smallest team of writers seems to be the best one according to you. After I get done with Ike (out of obligation, for my kamioshi) I'll try Shu too but that's probably going to be it.
The art is really nice for cgs and backgrounds but Ike's sprite is weird, the line under his chin, I don't get what it's supposed to be? It's white, not his skin color. I can't stop looking at it, why is it like this. Two chins?
But still, it's incredible that it exists at all. It's full of effort, some soul, some sovl. Makes me happy that it exists, that so many people tried and contributed to make something fun for the other fans who love the same thing.

I think I got everything I could out of Ike's route now. I'm pretty sure. I didn't expect how meta it would be, but that works for me. I started to have fun and enjoy it more the more I went back and tried different things to hurt him more or less, or just enough to get something new out of him. It's a lot of silly fun once I stopped expecting anything actually novel-like and just have fun with the game. Although the post-credit scene after the rainbow end weirded me out. The one with Baba in the arcade, that felt like something from a different route completely but since the game is full on meta and remembers stuff, I guess it's just a piece for the puzzle I'll see in the future, maybe? A bit more about the rainbow end... I can't believe I can have a girlfriend and friendzone Ike. Literally too close to home, the game knows I'm a dumbass dyke. This ending is a bit bizarre, but Luxiem said go get that pussy and I'm not the one to complain. Well. Maybe a little. Ivy was right there. I would like to date Ivy too. Why didn't they show her full sprite even once...
And some more thoughts on the route itself. I'm glad the Eveland family dynamic is in place in the way that aligns with my own headcanons, somewhat. Ivy being really protective and caring, Eki while cold and aloof also cares, a lot. They don't get along, even with the same goal. A shame there was no confused scene from Ike's POV about Eki's existence. Glad Hikarino showed up to chat Eki up about how much of an asshole I was, that was cute. Sad that there is no end where Eki DOES kill you, but him going full Sans on you is both funny and... okay a bit cringe how hard that reference was pushed but it's whatever, Ike deserves it after that undertale stream. Honestly, the pacing is the main thing that kind of kills the vibe in the route, because of how fast things progress, the magnitude with which Ike reacts to you choosing bad decisions feels off. He acts like I killed a guy when I ghosted him ONCE on our first week of knowing each other, he doesn't know what's going on in my life, come on. But the MC's outbursts of frustration and anger are also comically over the top. And they were the thing that made me stop caring for a quality plot and shit my perspective to a more “collect every achievement” instead of “focus on the story”, it's just hard to take the plot seriously after such big inconsistencies take place, and you are expected to roll with them.
Going to do Shu next. I'm glad it turned out a lot more fun that I expected after reading the first few chapters.
