The "base audience" shows up to every stream regardless. The "transient audience" gets multiplied by a factor. Since they join the stream at a predictable rate, a bigger transient audience in the waiting room translates to a bigger transient-audience in the final stream. See what I mean?

The correct formula is 2k waiting room = roughly 10k more peak (not accounting for funnel and other factors). For example, a standard Pekora 30k stream usually have 6k peak waiting room, 8k waiting room is a 40k stream and 10k mean 50k
From the 10k waiting room line onward it’s a bit more iffy but generally stay the same. Most 100k stream have 20k waiting, 70k stream usually have 14-15k waiting and so on
