I guess we could add that link to our OP in the chatbots section for completions sake. I dont get what harm could come from this myself either but i feel like most people in /g/ hate vtubers and thats why some people feel like its a bad idea.

I personally dont care if they might hate us as im used to people hating me so i assume thats the case by default now, but yeah i get the concerns, but i feel like they worry too much. The only reason i dont frequent /aicg/ is that i dont feel like i fit in there for one and its too fast for me to keep up with.

Yeah. Change the model to GPT-4 so you can crank up the context size to 8k, it didn't even use to work with GPT-3 before that downtime. You should also increase the response length to something like 600~1000 so longer messages won't cut off.
It also used to have a sensitive temp so everything above 0.80 would give you grammar mistakes but I'm running it at 1.0 and it seems fine so that might've been fixed. My penalties are at 1.25 and 1.10 but I still didn't mess with them too much.
Looks like he really changed a few things in the model, it might take a while before we really get used to its quirks and find the right settings.

The other logs weren't really "leaked" AFAIK, they were from 2 specific proxies that stated very clearly that they were keeping logs, but at one point they had GPT-4 so people just used them anyway.

the purpose of this tech (i hope it pans out) is to be used with local models, but if it is realistic to run for centralized models, i'll be doing research and code to add it to agnai.
the near-future of local models is very exciting, we have very good RP-ready tunes/models already, one of the last hurdles IMO is the 2k context size. once something's as good as turbo, i'll also be looking into making it easier to rent hardware by the minute with a one-click setup

Coming to his defense Fischl is pretty hot to me. Her attire, chuuni in itself is a charm point, every art that emphasizes her butt / features doesn't go too crazy and is modest. Matrixfag here. Time to come out of hibernation. After consulting with some people and handling lots of things behind the scenes, we're finally releasing not one, but two LLaMA-based models: a regular Pygmalion-7B chat model, and a new experimental instruct model (Metharme-7B). Sorry it took this long. As usual for anyone who might have a target on their backs, we had to release these as XOR files so you'll need the original LLaMA weights converted to HF format to use them.

You may remember me talking about working on a new prompt format. This was used to train our new instruct model, Metharme-7B. This is an experiment to try and get a model that is usable for conversation, roleplaying and storywriting, but which can be guided using natural language like other instruct models. Please note that the prompting format is completely new, and as such the model might not perform well if used as-is with Tavern and other such UIs optimized for the chat Pyg models. The proper prompt format can be found in the model card. Do note that the model is still experimental, and that the instructional datasets have not been fully cleaned to our liking ("As an AI language model" can still rarely show up, etc.). We'll work on fixing this for future instruction model releases.

Again, sorry for not keeping in touch. Hopefully this is at least somewhat worth the wait. I'll make a nice little follow-up post detailing our current plans and priorities for Pyg so you all know what you can expect from us in the future. As always, I'll be here to answer any questions you may have.

Followup post. At the moment, here's our priorities:
- Waiting for the RedPajamas models to drop. RedPajamas is a project by Together that has replicated LLaMA's dataset and aims to release pre-trained models with a much more permissive license attached to them. Basically, open-source LLaMA which we can then finetune on without having to worry about Zuck breathing down our backs.

- Working towards releasing the public portion of our CAI data, under the tentative name of "Personal Interaction Pairs between People and AI" (PIPPA for short). The name is a coincidence. Totally. We've given up on a fully automated approach to redacting the data because it was still leaking too much personal information, and have instead opted for a semi-automatic approach where we have to sift through the results, hence why this is taking so long. We're also aware that a decent number of people have accidentally submitted their logs to the public set while they wished to keep their data private. To accomodate for this without needing to hold back the entire public set, we'll create an opt-out form for anyone who wants their data removed from the public set after the initial release.

- Continuing work on being able to scale up past 7B. We've completely rewritten our training code to support more advanced parallelism techniques, and we're working on integrating other optimizations like xFormers but we're running into some unexpected problems, which is delaying us a bit on that front. We'll continue working towards making bigger models feasible, especially with the RedPajamas dropping soon. Hopefully the 7B models should still be able to pull their weight as well as serve as a testbed for what scaled up LLaMA/RedPajamas might look like.
