She's right.

I spent the recent weeks getting pissed off at mistakes or flaws that in the grand scale of things are very minute. Even when there were succesful streams that didn't get fucked by delays and were great entertainment, I stubbornly kept being annoyed because I had the lingering thoughts in the back of my mind about my oshi's "recent bad conduct".

But today's news on Coco really gave me a new perspective on all this, and this tweet to top.
You can't take all this great entertainment for granted. Hololive won't be here forever, and your oshi won't either. And worst case it can happen suddenly like now.

So keep supporting your oshi through both the good and bad times. There's no reason to get caught up in small negatives. Enjoy the time with them while you still can, for one day they won't be there anymore.

While I do still stand by my claim that Matsuri has been doing a subpar job recently, in the grand scale of things, she's always done an amazing job. More than 90% of the time I've known her she's been fantastic, so why spend so much time being angry when there's even the slightest bit of hardship.

I love Matsuri, and even more than that, I love Hololive and I will keep supporting all these great talents till the end. All of Hololive are working hard daily to give amazing entertainment to us viewers, and they won't be here forever.

Yukio is mechanically the best player Matsuri has ever gotten to play with, this guy is seriously dangerous. I was skeptical of his calls at first, since he's young and a bit of a show-off, but his calls are actually very good. He makes a lot of calls and pins and keeps his team updated on their gameplan.

Matsuri is also playing very well recently, 2000dmg just now and getting to D2 without a fullstack. This team has crazy potential provided that Matsuri stays stable and doesn't choke

Honestly I'm a bit worried as to how much I love Matsuri.
Yesterday's news got me thinking about how all of this won't last forever and it really hurts to think about because I legit don't know how I would cope if Matsuri wasn't in my life anymore. I'd be so heartbroken I don't want to even think about it.

I love Matsuri but I can't lie, tournaments are painfully boring to watch. There's so much downtime where nothing happens even during early game when they loot.
It took her 5 minutes before she even said anything just now lol

I am interested in the tournament itself, I like Apex and I'm a sucker for esports so I'll definitely watch it, but as far as entertainment goes this is Matsuri's weakest content by far. The interesting parts is basically from ring 2 until the game ends where there's action and the rest is just... Nothing.

It'd help if she had a good chemistry with her team like she does with Wat for example in which case the streams can be VERY entertaining but Matsuri barely knows these people.

This is the best team she's had in any tournament so far but my dumb thoughts are just ruining it all for me
I just can't help but constantly have the thought in my mind that she can barely muster up the energy and willingness to bring regular content every now and then, just barely after trying for several days, and even that falls flat
But when we hit a tournament she has so much motivation and energy that in 4 days alone she delivers 2 weeks worth of content in hours
I just want the "配信欲すごい" (her word) Matsuri who loves matsurisu and does her best in whatever she does but I haven't seen her in a while
I feel like I'm just watching a japanese girl play her favorite game and talking to her team, which is fine I guess. That's what she wants to do.
Wish I didn't feel this way, it's ruining all the fun, like the fact that they're slamming scrims

I don't think there's any problem with her regular content, so I disagree. If by "half-assed singing stream" you mean an hour long + sc, then her singing streams have been half-assed since 2018.
The problem isn't that her regular content is bad or half-assed, in fact my point is exactly that it's her best content. When she actually starts a stream, she usually does a great job. It's just that she won't plan or attempt any additional streams during tournaments so we don't get that other content. That's why I say it feels like she can barely muster up the energy to plan a stream unless it's tournaments or collabs, not solos.
All of this used to be fine, because this thread mostly agrees that she shouldn't try streaming extra during tournaments because of "scheduling hell", but it's started to "leak" outside of tournaments after CR Cup 5. We saw the effects of tournament scheduling hell the full 2 weeks after CR#5 had already ended. If this is how tournaments affect her ability to schedule stuff even after they end nowadays, that has me very concerned whether it's true or not.

And no, Apex itself is not the problem. Have you seen her solo Apex streams? Like her Apex zatsus? It's great stuff, like all her solo streams are. Like that one solo ranked stream where she just woke up before starting. She was crazy cute and talked about all kinds of stuff and most importantly, was herself and interacted with her fans. That's my problem. She's not Matsuri in tournaments, she's a random japanese girl who's playing her favorite game.
