Well it's pretty clear that HoloEN and NijiEN are forbidding their talents to play Hogwarts Legacy, forcing them to ignore the game, even the talents who have been shown to be big Harry Potter fans.
They are taking a stand but not playing Hogwarts Legacy to appeal to crazy trans activists on Twitter, as evidenced by the "Gotta support the cause" BS.

Here's the hot take. Hololive actually has more creative freedom. They simply have more resources available to let them make more varied content. This is obvious for the more singing oriented holos, they would never be able to have a concert in 3D, let alone have a real venue concert. But it's also true for more general entertainment oriented vtubers, see stuff like Polka's legend. Or Pekora, she easily has access to as many holos as she wants for tourneys and staff that can help her with it. They can even stream less and make video content if they prefer to, it's just so much more work compared to streaming no one does it.
They can make whatever they want without having to worry about short term profitability.
The only real limiting factor is that they cannot be offensive or political, which I hate seeing in my entertainment anyway. There's many games they could play and have permission for so it's on them that they only play minecraft and fotm.
The one true factor limiting their creativity is the talents themselves that don't have to come up with something new because they just get money for free anyway.

The only reason why going public during the Nux situation was bad is because they were objectively wrong in that situation.
Not being public in the Silvervale situation just shows the lack of at least public unity and solidarity. And at worst being silent enables such behavior. It would have been better for them if they just publicly stood their ground and supported her publicly.
