So I read through the twitter thread, the replies, and quote retweets, and what I'm gathering is that luca fans were jokingly comparing his character to Luca because they looked similar, but the artist is ESL and takes that as being accused of plagiarism? And apparently just the comparison alone is apparently rude.

I haven't seen any evidence of harassment, unless they DM'd him. Maybe they got ONE GUY'D in a reply somewhere, but it seems like they blew it out of proportion.
