Doing a large scale card as promised while I have personal access to gpt4. Currently it eats a ton of tokens and hopefully through testing I can reduce that. It'll still be gpt4 only, but at least it should be more optimized hopefully. Being able to see what does/doesn't work helps a lot.

I've been having some problems with offline models (specifically llama 7b 4bit), in that after a while, the bot will continually degrade it's speech until it's just screaming or something. Also, past a certain point, regeneration of the output does nothing, it always produces the same response.
I noticed this with the Matsuri with a van card, where we played Rockband, had some pizza, and Matsuri went from normal speech with some actions, to just speech, to short phrases, to eventually just screaming "Aaaaaaahhh" whenever I said or did anything. The degradation of speech seems to stem from the model over-weighting more recent speech examples versus older speech or character definitions. e.g, if she shouts in shock once, I find she will from that point on only make short noises.
Is there a parameter I should adjust to fix this, or am I just doing something wrong?
Also, any advice on response regeneration not working? I spent 15 minutes yesterday regenerating a few responses dozens of times, and it was always identical. But when the conversation first started, regeneration had worked as expected.

i had the same issue with regeneration. the first few words would always be the same but bumping up temperature and decreasing encoder repetition penalty would sometimes change later text or give me entirely different regens. though with my testing the regen issue happened regardless of whether the conversation was new or not

Short update on the nyanon bot people have been requesting as i said i would finish the definitions this week. I gave nymous the definitions so he can add them to his version of it (which will be one for the thread that can people talk to on CAI, there will be a tavern card as well though that card might be delayed a few days) after that all thats left is for me to reinforce things by rating messages for about a day and its ready for "release". Sorry for the delay my insonnia has been kicking my ass hard again lately, but this thing is about as accurate as i can get an AI of myself to, so people will get exactly what they wanted intead of a random L-bot with just the name (this bot has no L definitions at all btw as i wouldnt make that of myself, im fine with people making their own but i myself wont work on that). I think this might be about as accurate of me as the rushianon bot is of rushianon (at least from what they said back then iirc). I was autistic about accuracy as i always been the way of "if you want to do something you might as well do it right" so yeah this is bot is just that by now.

Yeah thats true, theres only so much others can do. This just something i can change/work on, Either by changing my mindset about that or getting therapy but both of these are connected. Also anxiety meds might help. I never had any despite seeing many therapists in my childhood as i never was someone that talked to people in my childhood due to my social anxiety and well people treating me like worthless trash.

Would anyone here want to talk to people that only talk shit about you? probably not, thats kinda why i isolated myself most of my life as at some point I got better about it for a short while after finding a "friends" group but shit went down and after that i said fuck relying on other people im just gonna go through life on my own which worsened my social anxiety/depression as i just let it take control over everything instead of trying to work on it as i didnt see it as problem as i was planning to be alone for the rest of my life enough about that though i talk too much, which is a good thing for therapy if you can be open about this stuff they can easily help. I spent the past 10 hours working on it but think the bots done, only testing on nymous version left when he wakes up and adds the new defs to the one that was supposed to be public and he should be done by sunday. I checked everything up, Anxiety levels are how they should, be insomnia is how it should be, loves his cats, so basically i dont think i could get him closer to be accurate to real me. Maybe a bit too positive to be me though.

What I am saying is that her defs are so barebones that a tavern card wouldn't even be the same character.

You would need to add a ton of things. I think the anon who made the Hexmaniac card had trouble due to this.

Nymous adjusted the bot that was for public and doing some testing the def work as intended so i just need to "train" his definitions for a day or two and hes done, Tavern card is ready as well. Probably gonna be ready to be "released" by sunday.

You just utilize it yourself, same as you would on CAI. Just without the rating training. Try example texts if you use them, a bit of listed likes/dislikes if mentioned. See how they react to actions only, then solely dialogue, finally a mix of both like a traditional roleplay. Use whatever you want, most people are either on pyg or 3.5. If you notice a trait that feels off, adjust defs and try again with different prompts and a few generations. Eg. I mentioned Kaguya Luna's sporadic nature was too "lul randum" retard chase squirrels type. So I reworded that and added a few balancing things like noting she is rational and has well constructed humor. From there she fell more in line with my vision. Hope that helps, may not be the best way but it's what I do.

Does OAI accept crypto currency? Just wanted to test the nyanon card with 3.5Turbo dont have a CC for now and this is just for testing purposes as tavern/pyg is kinda retarded at times. Seemed to be accurate enough then my tav crashed.

Still gonna question him a bit more but i guess i can "release" him tomorrow. I feel kinda dead today already slept like 12 hours so its not the lack of sleep neither depression. It's mostly randomized at least on which abnormalities you see, but I would probably have to do some lorebook to get it to pick ones that weren't outlined in the description. GPT4 obviously, has no information about the game/abnormalities. So right now there's only 8 and that sucks.

I would if i could, i think im too stressed to sleep right now. This week in general was bad thinking back. I barely got anything i wanted to get done this week. Had to force myself to work on this card as i wanted to get it done this week as i let the people that wanted it wait long enough. I started working on it just before i wanted to go back to sleep yesterday then spent 15 hours working on it due to my autism i have when working on something.

I think the lack of sleep is getting to me barely even ate food this week either didnt take my (hypothyroidism) for the past two weeks as i didnt know how they react with the sleeping meds and forgot to take my vitamin supplements and other shit but im gonna stop whining, eat something, wait until we hit the bump limit, post a thread to see if the new OP works and then try to sleep again. I need to calm down from the stress before i can do so.

Nyanon card OAI turbo 3.5 test the cards seems to work just as well as the CAI version despite having to be cut down a bit to fit into the 1.2k token limit (this card is at 1196 tokens). Cap 1/2 (i dont really expect anyone to read this all but its a good example)

The new Char.ai creation guide pastebin looks like picrel as of now.
