vtDJT is a language learning thread for anons on /vt/ that are studying the japanese language.
Discussion will appertain to vtubers where possible, as per the boards rules. But, understandably, the study of japanese can extend into many different areas.

I think Cure dolly is way better than Tae Kim especially for logical explanation
For example he explained that the が(ga) particule doesn't indicate the subject but something he called "indentifier" which makes Japanese very unlogical

The irony that meidos delete a thread that's constructive, harmless and gives a gateway for people to enjoy more vtubers. But have no issue doing nothing about the endless bait threads on the catalog. It's actually senseless kek. They could argue there are other threads like this elsewhere on the site. But that doesn't mean they always accept people that talk about learning via vtubers (actively frowned upon in some of those threads), and it also means there's one less shit throwing doxx/bait/falseflaggging thread clogging up the catalogue.

This board is too fast for such a thread to survive.
Better to remain in slow board like /jp/

Probably true. But oh well. A thread like this that lasts 3-4 hours max is still better than a thread that spunks up the board with dramafags.

Janny probably getting pissy about the semantics of where these threads belong. They'll probably force DJT to stay in /jp/ even though there are plenty of boards where this thread overlaps and can be of use.

Discussing vtubers in that DTJ can sometimes get you a "Go back to your containment thread" reply, and on /int/ it certainly will. Unfortunately jannies don't know this. So before they think of going trigger happy I should advise them to first prioritise enforcing Global Rule #3 here and /vt/'s Rule #3 as well.

As for learning. Here's a vtuber I discovered a while back that reads through Yotsuba chapters and explains each part of the grammar/vocab:

How do you write kanji and kana on your keyboard? Is there an app for it?

>> No.47679055

>>47678686
Do you think Japs have an app to write Japanese ?
Anyway if you are on windows you go on settings, search language and add Japanese keyboard and if you are on your phone it's something similar
Then you select Japanese keyboard and you write something in romaji and it will transform in kana for example はる then on a pc you press the spacebar and different kanji will appear so choose the good one and on a phone there is a touch with "変換" written on it.

I'm not very good but I will try to correct some of your post
>>47676490
>僕が一番好きなvtuberはぺこらです
が is for the subject so it should be on vtuber and 僕 is not the subject of your sentence so but the topic so は, and 彼女 is not really used in that case you can just repeat ぺこら also it is very formal for a post on an imageboard
>>47678599
It's good especially if you know all the kanji you used but there is exactly the same issue as the other post (also Botan is written ぼたん if you write it ボタン people might think you are talking about button)

I enjoy wanikani but it's really frustrating every mnemonic or "tip" under kanji or vocabulary is "you learned this before, so you should know it!"
Oh kk great, thanks.

>> No.47680851

I could post some of my wanikani mnemonics for you, if you like? Depending on the kanji since I only ever got to level 29 though.

>> No.47680967

>>47680633
I don't mind that so much as I hate when they don't bother to come up with mnemonics to help memorize special reading cases/exceptions for certain vocab, like ones that use a mix of both on/kun readings or rendakus. They pretty much just tell you to go fuck yourself by saying "you're just going to have to try and remember this one time exception".
That's why a lot of people just use WK for the Kanji and less so for the vocab. It's always 50/50 on whether or not they phone in a vocab lesson.
