I think you have it backwards, anon. No one disputes the fact that StarsEN are making way less money than HoloEN, and their views are also lower. However, when you compare JP and EN Stars, it's clear that Tempus was an absolute upgrade in terms of revenue and popularity. Biggest Tempus flops still get 2-4x more viewers than biggest JP flops, and while some JP members can come close to the SC revenue, no one beats the obscene amount of memberships some EN members are getting. The problem? Tempus1 debuted in 2022 and Tempus2 in 2023 which means that they started in already heavily saturated market where many people already had their favorite vtubers in other corpos or as indies. Original Holostars debuted in 2019 when the whole thing was still taking off. In the span of a year some holomem went from having 1-5k CCV to 10-30k and JP homos basically failed to gain any momentum. Almost 4 years in and only 2 members (Astel and Roberu) have managed to incline while the rest are being complacent or having depressive talks every 2nd stream about how hard it is. How do you justify this to investors? They cannot go with the usual cope "well they''re males in a company dominated by female talents". It's no coincidence that after Tempus debut, JPs started talking how management was telling them to get more memberships. Don't get me wrong, I still think JP stars are nice people overall, but half of them were never meant to be successful vtubers.
