That is what makes them entertaining and why people watch them. These games are inherently janky shitfests with weird physics that are difficult to consistently replicate. This introduces an element of chance and uncertainty that makes them compelling to watch. You don't know if someone is going to mess up and get sent back to the beginning from halfway through the level.

You are forgetting the most important part: it is a fucking rhythm game. Rhythm games are some of the least interesting things to watch others play at when you're not at a high level. There is no element of chance in a rhythm game unless you start using modifiers; it is pure timing and memorization. Skill at rhythm games is very easily quantifiable and Holos are of such varying skill that a tournament would not be interesting at all. Most Holos suck at them and you can predict who would be in the finals before the tournament even starts.

That was my point on twitch everything counts as a game stream because it’s a game streaming website. Twitch is already losing money if the number 1 streamers were actually found to be on youtube it would lose streamers and advertisers. I think there are some factors you guys are ignoring.

1)Cover saw a lot of homobegging across many platforms, not just reddit.
2)JP homos had a lot EOPs themselves. The logic tracks "JP holos had lots of EOPs, EN holos managed to get even more, we can replicate this with homos" and they did...just maybe not to the level they expected.
3)Luxiem blew up and were popular. Cover rushed to get a piece of this market ASAP.
