We can blame management all we like, the current state of affairs falls directly onto the boys. The break pre-planned to record? Fine, I get. Easy to hate on management for that one. That was January. JANUARY. But it's April now. We're gonna be in May before we even notice and considering how things have been, Vox or Mysta will take another break for one reason or another. This is a period of time in which debuting a new wave would at least draw attention away from the overtly obvious negatives impacting the male side. It's dire. And it's not as if NijiEN has any big events upcoming unlike JP. No concerts, no big events. Even the Tetris tournament came and went without a impact.

as much as i dont think id really care about a new wave, it is the perfect time to debut one. even without looking at the boys, the overall branch is pretty dead. last year around this time, the branch had a lot of things to look forward to in events and overall streams. but, it's been so dead. no tournaments, no games, no fun stream ideas, nothing that specifically impacts EN other than terminations, graduations and more breaks. even when the boys do get a chance to stream, its fairly shorter streams or one off 8-9 hour streams then silence for a few days before they stream again.

It does come across as if the boys know they can coast along now and not try to work hard anymore. They still get merch and features, so it's not as if they are suffering in terms of profit or personal "growth" as they will always have a rabid sect of fans. I know this isn't the case, but I reflect back on Vox's big speech about wanting to ensure he helps others and streams what he likes and than seeing the end product be nothing at all for weeks on end is so defeating.

Anon, the entire calendar is absent for NijiEN when it comes to events. All upcoming concerts, the baseball event etc. Everything from now until the end of 2023 is exclusively for JP. At least if they said "Hey x and y are gonna be apart of this in the near future" we'd have something to be excited for. At best right now, the only thing we can look forward to is the prospect of a week in which streams actually happen.

JP only announces concerts in advance, nothing else. Koshien isn't announced it's just expected to happen when because it's yearly. Things like radio shows, podcasts, tournaments are announced at most a week or two ahead of time. Yes the calendar looks barren right now but that's literally because they fucked up AR live, they schedule things so far in advance there was no way we'd have gotten other things until after AR live in their original plans and you can't patch the gap with projects that fast unless you stream significantly less

It's both annoying and depressing because to some extent they're aware of it. If I remember right, when Vox came back from his break a little while ago, after dealing with personal matters, he said something to the effect of that he knows streams have been sparse and wants to make up for it, because he knows it's a disappointing sight. And in one of Ike's streams a little while ago he talked about how he wanted things to go back to normal, but that he's said that before and it didn't. At least some of them have excuses, Vox is currently sick, Ike's on a break after almost facing burn-out, Fulgur's breaks are more often than not because of health reasons.

It just sucks. I do like the Iluna and Xsoleil boys, but none of them I can really call my kamioshi. Fulgur and Uki seem to be the only ones out of Luxiem and Noctyx right now who keep up consistent schedules every week. I love all the boys, and I know they have their reasons for why they're doing things the way they are, but as a fan, it just feels like I've been left in the dark. So many of the boys promise exciting things are happening behind the scenes and that things will happen soon, but it feels like they never happen or I'm just stuck waiting for who knows however long until something happens.

I think far too many of them are indirectly living the NEET lifestyle whilst under contract to a large scale Japanese corporation. Basic time management skills seem alien to them. I'm not trying to paint the boys out as being lazy or uncaring. I know I'm being selfish in my feeling this way. I just wanted to vent for a bit about my own personal view on it all. I love my oshi, and I love the boys, I know they all have their own plans and lives that take them away from streaming. It's just that, I don't have a whole lot going on in my life, and they help pass the time and distract me from any stresses of life. So, without a whole lot going on, or not much activity from them, it makes it feel like there's a void.

the way you worded it was "why are you even still supporting your oshi if you think theyre not trying" which is questioning someone's whole resolve over one complaint theyre having. if everyone stopped loving their oshi because they had one complaint, vtubers would cease to exist. an example is most mystakes have expressed their distaste with how mysta responds to his haters but they still love him and appreciate the days when he ignores them instead of feeding into it. its a change he's slowly making, it's not instant but they stick around because they love him. anons saying they think their oshi isnt trying that hard anymore means the same thing.
