Happy for you, that you found out. It's a common misconception about holoID that I had as well. I remember thinking: "Why should I check these 3 new girls that don't speak a language I understand? When I already have 4 gens + gamers from holoJP that at least I'm familiar with". Only to later randomly find out they speak a lot of English. And, more importantly, are very entertaining.

Depending on the girl, what is she doing, and how she feels, the composition of the chat at the moment; language varies from 100% English to 100% Indonesian, and everything in between, with occasional Japanese mixed in. Full ID collabs are to be avoided, though.

HoloRo realized very early on that catering to Indo-only fags was, at the time, a recipe for disaster. Reine and Anya got really pissed off at fans who insisted they only stream in Indo, and then Ollie famously went nuclear at them. It was deserved - they were rude assholes that contributed nothing. Kobo managed to pull in the normalfags and do well with them, but they're like chumbuds - mostly otherwise uninterested in Hololive, they just like their oshi. It makes no sense for most of them to care about the Indo-only fanbase when most Indonesian vtuber fans who actually own a debit card can understand English.

They usually speak ID in collabs. Even Anya in solo streams speaks English more than 50% of the time, with Japanese floating at around 30% and Indonesian at around 15%.

Kaela's actually has a large number of devoted Indo members, just hers are well behaved - see her last Phasmo stream for proof. They're nice people - actual adults for starters - and completely differe from the types of jackasses that were giving HoloRo shit back in the day, but yeah, they clearly understand English and are happy for the talents to have as wide a reach as possible. Some of ID even said recently they'd rather HoloID became HoloSEA.

Yeah, the few streams where they talk almost entirely in ID filter me, though, but certain pairs speak in English so I'd probably watch a collab with Anya and Zeta, be skeptical of a collab with Risu and Ollie, and probably skip any with Kobo unless it's an English member.
