HoloEN fans have been fucking STARVING for some kind of pan-EN Hololive style story arc for such a fucking long time... so much so that just 3 talents quoting Naruto dialogues is enough to get them fucking FANARTs of the damn thing.

I'm honestly glad they went with this, it's like the simplest storyline of a master overseeing two disciples fighting over something.
No matter how much they fuck up the dialogues, improv or delivery, they will at least have a proper story : training arc in the form of practice streams (with the occasional in-character bantz), tournament arc, and a conclusion with one winner.
As a JPfag, it still grinds my gears when they mess up the simplest of fucking steps, but at least this is a railroad style story - they literally CANNOT mess up the core aspects.

This will hopefully also inspire some HoloEN animations again, since they've been completely fucking dry for well over half a year.
