What did they do wrong? They had some good ideas.

>> No.46675003

Good ideas
Good principle
Good talents
Good manager
But
Too "ethical" and lost to more competitive alternatives, some talents even got poached and a generally penny pinching and retarded head CEO and zero promotion. Other corpos just stole their ideas (including nijisanji)
Also VERY unlucky.

They just didn't have any funding, it was always ran on a shoestring budget and a small vtuber corpo can't realistically bring in enough revenue to scale up. This is the big reason Phase and Idol have been successful, they had a lot of money to start with. That means advertising and adequate staff.

It's genuinely impressive that the company clung to life for almost a year after she left, and yet they apparently never managed to complete a single project that wasn't already started when she was there. Gen 4, new outfits for Gen 3, whatever was going on with Rei, absolutely all of it fell through.

Kana was one of the single most well known EN vtubers at the time and Miori hit 200k subs while under the company, which puts the current biggest small corpo names on par with where she was then.
Things have obviously changed a lot since then, but to say that "neither were all that big that early" is definitely untrue. If anything that's when they both peaked in relevance (no thanks to the company itself, though)

>What did they do wrong?
Unironically everything.
Yes, while they had good ideas, wanting to be the wastern Holo can only get you so far.
I auditioned for them, gave them ideas from the start, more ads, more publicity, focusing more in entertainment instead of talent.
Of course, I was a Who? at the time so I get why I might have sound ridiculous and crazy in their eyes.
Debuted a gen full of, while talented people, not entretainers, not entertaining at all. Weak debuts, same thing in the next gen, or even worse.
A lot of investments in things that now I see didn't matter at all, weren't the actual important things.
I truly believed in Tsunderia, loved most of the talents they had at the time, but their full transparency, as a company, was their demise.
As some other anon said, even Niji stole and copied some of their ideas thanks to the backstabbing rat, but even then they never seemed to find a momentum they could ride.
Don't even get me started on how they controlled some of the talents and killed ideas that would give them numbers instantly over the fear of backlash, Miori for example.
Letting the slug go was one of their biggest mistakes, and the beginning of the end for them. Then Char followed, then Purin, Ami, at that point Tsunderia doesn't exist anymore, right?
Wanting to become the Holo of the west.. wanting to be something that you aren't is never a good idea, fake it till you make it doesn't apply in cases like this. They had great talents that are now thriving outside of their leash, so that should tell you something.
My feelings for Tsunderia are very mixed, the potential was there, the money and momentum, but it was never used, and never taken advantage of.
Also they are very VERY unlucky.

Yes, but Ami had something I didn't at the time, being her singing and rapping.
I've put the work into it, almost a year and a half, so I can admit I sounded like shit before, even if I'm a good entretainer.
The generation Ami debuted in was more focused in singing and music production, so I was doomed from the start even if I'm also a big audiofag.

>>46683526
Wrong. The CEO is just retarded.
>>46683799
Indeed. The slug was the one moving the strings in the background, PPP lost her and didn't know what to do, so the company started dying. Rei couldn't get to her level, not that it was her fault, Slugma genuinely was putting her heart, soul, blood sweat and tears into this dying company when she got almost nothing in return.
>>46687130
You said it yourself, it wasn't thanks to Tsunderia at all. Kana became a train wreck, Miori broke rules, that's how they got to the milestones you talk about. It's not thanks to Tsunderia or their help.
>>46687370
Again, PPP was just a retard that chose to spend money for an ad in a card pack or league skins or whatever the fuck.
>>46690201
Against "everything Tsunderia is", so not a chance. They helped Miori to get out of her black company buying her model off them, so doing what you say would make them hypocrites in their eyes or whatever, I think.

Nah I dont think it is. It's not a problem in places like Niji or Holo, at least not as much, but with small companies it sucks out the joy of being part of a community, so you just don't become part of it in the first place. Also, everyone knows everyone, even in 4ch with anonymity, so that's also a problem, you actually can't escape the groomers and their controlling schizophrenia.
