- Only 2 quest types are available
- Local trader: request and reward resources are pulled from what is available in your country
- Global trader: request and reward resources are pulled from the whole world.

I want to create a list of goods for the bakery in /who/. Then we can talk about prices. The good news is that now /nasa/'s ending is going to be retconned to where we're still here then that means we do have some trading between /who/ and /nasa/ again. Also /nasa/ would be able to cover most of the cost again.

Because of Grand Directive we will be unable to import electronic equipment. That said hand-cranked gear is A-OK. Also due to no refrigeration on trade routes all menu items have to be made on site.

List of imports ingredients from /nasa/ are:

-Wheat from the greenhouses. (Not star wheat since that's only grown at home for funeral rites.) Wheat can be processed at the mills into whole-grain, white, and cake flours. Wheat will mostly be used for cake flour.
-Sugar beet sugar. The processed sugar can never spoil. Perfect for trade.
-/nasa/ Space Yeast. Cold resistant yeast will be perfect to culture in the mountains. You can't freeze it, but you can preserve it in cool storage.
-Salt. The arctic wetlands is perfect for salt deposits. We'd be mining and selling salt.
-Coal. Mostly to trade to hoomans for minerals. Not really useful for cooking due to natural toxins. But coal is essential for melting metal for appliances.
-Ice. We're north enough to have ice wells to carve from. If not then we can build ice wells that freeze in the winter.

-Marbled Barley and Rye bread. A mix of rye and barley bread doughs kneaded together to create a white and brown bread.

-Snowberry tarts made with a barley and wheat crust.
-Potato bread. Bread made with potatoes.


Some /nasa/ specialties.
-White bread buns. Great for burgers.

-Croissants
-Shortbread Biscuits (or cookies for you mutt burgers)

-Turnover Apple Pie.
-Snowberry Cobbler.

I don't want the menu to be too big. This is a list of what we can make. Even though we have three ovens that can hold 9 loaves of bread it still takes time to make bread. And I'm not talking about raising time. For the cobbler we'd have to prepare the filling by fermenting the berries in sugar for a bit. Then simmer the filling. Then prepare the crust. Then cook in a Dutch oven either over a campfire or bake in our oven for an hour and a half to two hours.

Bread actually doesn't take that long to cook. And it can sit on the shelf. Same with cookies. Pies and cobbler will take a while. So pies in bulk will have to be ordered in advance. Anything that uses sugar will be more expensive than things that don't.

I also forgot to mention the possibility of maple-based sweets. However I don't think maple trees were confirmed yet.

The families moving to /who/ know the risk. We've briefed them on the risks of living outside of /nasa/. And they still chose to move. I expect them to prepare as much at they can.

Ok, probably no big updates on the site until this weekend, there's a lot of code clean-up that needs to happen since I trashed a bunch of stuff to rush out the Quest feature.

In the meantime though there's gonna be a lot of number tweaking. Happiness will probably get bumped world-wide again after I redo the algorithm. It's better than it was, but still kind of tough, and it needs to take into consideration that Quests give resources now.

The next update I want to push is gonna be upgrades for your governances. Something like purchasing buildings, or establishing guilds. Ideas I had along those routes:
- Trader's Guild: More/Better trade offers from Quests
- Market Square: Sell 200 of any X for 100 of any Y resource
- Survey Expedition: Unlock a new resource node

Other ideas are welcome, just keep in mind were at the "Village" level right now so nothing like "Can I make my own currency and start a bank so I can charge interest on loans".

Also, I think you mentioned the attrition rate is a percentage based on the quantity of resources? I think that works, but I'm curious if there's a reason to go for that instead of a flat attrition quantity. a percentage based attrition rate disincentivizes stockpiling resources, which isn't a bad or good thing, but it does affect the gameplay loop.

place under companies and guilds, I am currently working on various corporations and industrial concerns in the Empire. This corporation is a Magic industrial concern that I ultimately am puzzled on what it would actually make because:

I also have an idea that I am calling "Magical Tooling and Lubrication" to mean that Yorumite can be used to make different types of chuubanite from nijijp work together. I don't know what that means entirely or if it is possible.

Verbally explained, the Serene Republic produces a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, with the focus being mainly on distilled beverages and beers. Wine is produced as well, but as a drink is less culturally significant.

Of particular note would be...
>Whiskey
Made primarily from either corn or malted barley, both grown all across the nation, but most notably on the Home Island.
>Rum
Made from fermented sugarcane grown on the Four Coins Archipelago. Rum can and is often spiced with various flavour components.
>Fruit Brandy
Made from the usual grapes and apples, as well as some more "exotic" fruits such as Pear, Mango, and Pineapple. Wine is made from the same fruits.

Infused drinks such as Gin and Absinthe are also produced, but in much MUCH lower quantities compared to the above mentioned "big three" of spirits. Liqueurs are produced in various flavours, including hazelnut, almond, walnut, coffee, vanilla, lemon, and various herbal and/or floral concoctions.

Among fermented beverages, the most popular ones are beers of various types. Beer is seen as the drink of the common man, and the rich and powerful also indulge in it, especially if they are attempting to be seen as "friends of the common worker".
Since there is little to no regulation when it comes to producing alcohol by fermentation, every village, town, and farmstead or mansion brews their own. This has given rise to a rich and diverse beer culture in the nasfaqgian countryside, with most towns and villages having their own specialty style. The best beers are regarded as local cultural treasures, and samples of the yeast strains that produce them are worth more than their weight in gold.
In areas where rice replaces grains as the major cereal crop, beer is replaced by rice wines.

These local beers and rice wines are rarely exported outside of the towns they are made in, and almost never find their way outside of the nation.
There are some beer styles that are popular all across the nation, mostly styles of Ale and Stouts. Of particular note would be NPA, or Nasfaqgian Pale Ale, a hoppy style of ale formulated to keep well during long voyages across Vitubia. The beer is popular among merchants and travelers, as it helps keep morale up, and reminds them of home wherever they may be.

Strong spirits were traditionally seen as drinks of the plutocrats, while the common man usually drinks beer or wine. This idea has changed however, and nowadays cheaper versions of the usual spirits are available to the poor folk as well. The past distinction is still seen in cultural rituals, which most often include stronger spirits.
Quality foreign spirits, wines, and beers are very popular among the rich, as they are seen as symbols of high status and good taste. Just having a bottle of Moriji wine on one's shelf may be enough to win some respect from local wine connoisseurs.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same. For now, I'm planning to "patch" it by adding another quest type that is will ONLY request from things you can actually get so you can "trade your way up" with just Quest trades in a sort of tier system.
