These are much more reasonable points. Overall, I agree with you on most of them. But I still think you’re underplaying the significance of the blue Dorito. A better way of putting it might have been to imagine if say, Tsunderia had Cover money and debuted the exact same vtubers with the exact same models and rm I’m using them as an example because they were one of the first western corpos. Gura would probably be popular, but there would be a huge gap that you can only really explain through Cover.
The significance of Holomyth being a “legitimate” vtuber gen because it was backed by one of the biggest JP corpos in the world cannot be dismissed. Gura played a big part in backing up that hype during their debuts, but she got a boost from Cover. Which isn’t a bad thing.

Personally I think it is because both holo and niji don't really produce anything new. No new content, no new interaction. Kiara is trying hard to break the stalemate but she has no charisma. It was not immediately felt because the boys (Luxiem and Noctyx) were having their own share of problems trying to tardwrangle their chinese audience and themselves but it can be seen now.
Adding XSoleil that fast was the final straw too, all of a sudden between iLUNA and XSoleil there were more 'livers' than the entire OG girls batch on LOE, it destroyed any branch cohesion and splintered their audience.

For HoloEN, other than Tempus and Tempus 2 causing some attrition and churn in the fanbase (whose extent is subject to debates and timeloops to this day), the girls were already showing signs of what I can only described as

Many of the HoloEN girls were tired of their audience, tired of their content, tired of their managers and just plain tired.
That led to health problems, that led to uninspired streams, led to fights with management and all sorts of troubles, even before Tempus.

First week Aia was acting like troon vtweeter, scarle was a fujo disappointment, maria and ren were the good ones and they were just boring. It didn’t help that when Gura finally did a stream she was low energy and depressed that all the things she worked on were getting cancelled of delayed again and a chance that irys 2.0 might not even be ready by December. Something happened around Gura’s anniversary that led to a huge course correction. 3D live was allowed to be presented, daki got the ok probably last minute, Newrys was not only happening but was pushed forward, holoen channel things started happening again. Korone getting back to doing Endurance, Peko new year of the rabbit arc, all the different tournaments, Holofes (and all the stories that came from it, the ichimi hat dude, jimmy --> Aki crying, the irl loli Gura, Parade etc.), the SMOK one block arc, Suisei First Take, Shiraken stuff, all the different collabs and last but not least, all the new Minecraft server shenanigans.
And for EOPs who might not be able to watch all of this (not everything gets clipped after all), there's also some clippers who are clipping older streams that were privated during the Holocaust.
There's Yuusha and longer form clippers who make "storylines" out of disparate events as well, and EN speaking folks can watch these just as you would watch an anime series.

Hell just from Gura building a single fucking trident on the JP server, there were 5-6 different clips of various Holos reacting to it, basically marking her presence there. Fauna's tree thing will also be a major attraction if she ever finishes it.
