That's what pretty much all my outputs with a HLL4.2 mix look like, not sure what you're expecting to see from the catbox.
If I save them as float16 they're a lot less horrible looking, but it's barely even trying to draw vtubers. Without float16 I get abominations.
Baking in the VAE or not only seems to lead to very minor differences.
Same mixes with HLL3.1 work great.

Might be better to be a bit more clear about this - the first line is the overall prompt for the entire image, so it's usually a good idea to put anything that is relevant to the entire image in it. Background, lighting, style, clothes if they're wearing the same thing, etc

One thing I like about euler a is that is an given step count is relatively fast compared to most other samplers, and even changes to the step count can make noticeable changes to the image. So if you get an image that's really close but isn't quite right, sometimes you can fix it by just nudging the step count up or down a little and trying again. I guess inpainting is an option too but I still have trouble with that sometimes.
Picrel is my attempt at an example, though it's very hard to tell from just a single thing like this. Look at her hands I guess?

Yep, if I'm using Euler a it's because I want 40 steps, and I want them to matter. Since you can set different curves for DT, having more steps = having finer control over how cfg scales over time, and for how long. DDIM would be "hard mode" since you can go up to fuckin 100 steps if you want...

From some testing, on the Kiara image the "(art by swkl:d:1.1)" is what saves it. Without it it turns into a 3D looking abomination.
But it still feels worse than 3.1. But I'll try a mix with DPAnime, the Lamy looks nice.
And yeah this is without inpaintings or fixes, so the little issues like the hands are fine.
Also I generally get better outputs with a minimalist negative. From my personal experience long base negatives work better if you use highres fix, which I don't.

I think I'm getting it. In Open Pose if I make the figure skiny and narrow it turns the character to the side so you can avoid them all over lapping and get more leeway with your regional prompting for latent coupling. That should avoid characters fusing and bleeding into each other. You also need to up all defining character traits a bit too.

The tech is called latent couple. It's a WebUI extension. I haven't sat down and learned it yet myself, but it allows you to split your image into segments and prompt each segment independently
