Instead of a thick layer of jam on once slice of bread, I spread a thin layer of jam on both slices so that the dry peanut butter powder would have a better chance to be absorbed into it. I used a fork to sift the powder onto one slice for a more homogeneous distribution. The sandwich is much better this time and is not as dry to eat. One nice thing about this approach is that the knife is very easy to clean. The jam is readily water-soluble and rapidly rinses right off the knife, and because I don't reuse it to spread peanut butter after spreading the jam, I can put it away immediately after rinsing.

If you ever think about using gold leaf on a letter to your oshi, I strongly recommend against it. Because what might happen is that after a ton of trial and error you find a method that might work and then do two practice runs that work great before using it on your letter, and then when you try to use it on your letter it fucks up, ruins the letter, and now I need to write it again.
