That's also because Regis is a first name, not a last name. Additionally, any flipped names we don't already hear sound wrong. They use Magni and Dezmond about equally often, but flip it and say Dezmond Magni and it sounds weird because it's always said Magni Dezmond. Vesper Noir sounds normal because he's said it so much, though Noir Vesper doesn't sound wrong as much as "oh yeah, that's the Japanese version on the website because Japanese company." I'd say they should all normalize Western name order like Vesper, but really I think they should first hire someone not ESL to do the naming so we dont have dumbass last names, and only use JP name order for stuff actually written in Japanese and EN name order when it's in English like any other sane person.

A lot of it isn't so much an issue of not caring but about the US education system being shitty and underfunded (or the funds diverted) and affected by other systemic issues like making sure kids even get fed in the first place and them not being able to learn properly because of bigger issues. Our school district didn't offer foreign language classes until high school (teen age) because they were still trying to make sure kids knew how to read English up through middle school (preteen years). (The critical period for language development is as a toddler)
