As someone who also has a bad sleeping disorder, I can tell you that it snowballs. Chronic sleep deprivation pretty much fucks your immune system and short-term memory, so you become more susceptible to secondary infections. Stack that with asthma and yeah... she's not great. It also come with an emotional/psychological toll since people treat sleeping disorders like some kind of moral weakness that you can just 'power through' and basically victim-shames you for being sick. I'm sure a big part of her anxiety problems come from that... It's complicated.

We'll just hope her doctors can help her. If she has to travel to see them, the choice definitely wasn't random.
