I do agree that parents should step in and keep kids realistic even it means crushing their dreams, but Miori's actually got a pretty solid chance of making good money off of this so it seems like a huge waste. The reality is that a vast majority of indies lack in either talent, effort or opportunity but she's in the rare position to have all three lined up for her.

It's true that even huge vtubers probably aren't safe to take it as a long term career but gunning for the big leagues when she's already in a good spot and then seeing where life goes after might really be less of a gamble than pushing for a field she has no interest or promises in.
