I'm curious, who of Holomyth did y'all expect to last at the start? I won't lie and say I was surprised that it was Calli and Kiara (Calli always struck me as driven and Kiara was always closer to the JP crowd), but I was wondering what y'all initially thought.

>> No.45771188

I dropped out of literally everyone but Calli in a few weeks after Myth's debut, so they were never interesting to me other than watching Gura's funni number grow. Other than that, could not care less, as long as Calli stays.

fair, Calli is kino, though I barely watch Myth at all anymore. I remember everyone being terrified of an EN branch to begin with though back when it first got announced, kek

Why "Calli" and not "Mori?"

Even before I moved to GMT+6, I stopped watching most of Calli's content aside from vods here and there, for a number of reasons including burnout, shit mental, and such
Stopped watching most vtubers, really, the only one I keep up with is Selen (NijiEN), and even that is via clips mostly

same, I stopped watching most girls in 2021, but recently got back in through phase connect. That led me to check on how some of the girls were doing, hence me noticing Calli and Kiara are basically the only ones still kicking.

Unrelated, but I never thought Gura would be this popular. Happy for her.

I honestly had zero expectations of any of them pre-debut. I was part of the crowd that was terrified of EN vtubers ruining everything by making it more mainstream

Kiara is the only one, at least in Myth, that has yet to show any sign of burning out. Heck, if anything, shes showing even more resolve now, streaming when her voice was gone.

Their debuts were cringe as hell so I didn't have any expectations going forward. Even the girls themselves thought their debuts were awful. Gura's got memed to hell and back and was a key factor in her early success.

And because I wasn't expecting anything, every surprise was a good one. Ina overcame her initial shyness, Gura was lured out of her shell, Ame continually explored new ways to connect with viewers, and Kiara and Mori morphed from the EN-streamers-during-JP-hours people I never watched to powerful streamers in their own right
