hi ayumi
in case you're still checking this thread for criticism, i watched your raft vod.
there are some nitpicky things that i noticed, like your waiting screen not having any music or some of the alerts being intrusive.
the most noticeable thing though, was that you seemed to focused on the game. talking about the game isn't bad inherently but it's often hard to make it engaging when it's the only thing you have going on in the stream. it also leads to a high amount of dead air when the game gets slow. within reason, you should try to talk about yourself. things like hobbies that you're interested in are good. maybe there's something you'd like to know more about, your chatters might be more inclined to engage to tell you about that stuff if you start asking, and they even might bring in friends who are bigger experts on that. you can also use anecdotes. you mentioned that looking at the sea kinda makes you sick, and that easily could've flowed well into "actually chat, this one time i was at the beach" or something along those lines.
generally speaking, attracting and engaging viewers is about creating exciting stories. one can do this by having specifc goals in your content like achieving something specific in a game or getting to a specific point in the game's progression. "on today's stream, i'd like to..." kinda stuff. one can also do it by bringing in life stuff like memories, hobbies that you keep your chat updated on like shows that you're watching or artists that you follow, even just some everyday things that you think viewers would be interested in following.
take with this as a grain of salt, as this is my perspective as someone who has watched 75-100 view vtubers i like move over to 100-130. i think what that other anon said about networking and just knowing people who'll help you out is also pretty important. i wish you the best of luck
