Her original model was a huge filter to people. Most people that saw it, and walked away, never looked back. The reason I personally don’t listen IRyS’s music as someone who loves Holosongs, is because her voice is very bland and boring. It sounds generic as hell. With the except of that song, her songs actually do decently well if you take other platform (i.e: Spotify) into account.
For example, let's take Gravity. It has 585k views on YT. If you look at Spotify, though, that's another 620k, making it a 1M+ views song.
Or, for an edge case, her best performed song to date is Here Comes Hope. It's sitting at "only" 1.6M on YT, but has 3M views on Spotify, effectively almost triple its view count if you take both platforms into consideration.
Now, why aren't they doing well on YT? I can think of plenty of reasons, but terrible management probably is the biggest one. It's extremely dumb to release a song on YT Music (*not* her YT channel, mind you) and other platforms first, yet only drop it on her channel weeks, if not month(s) after. Heck, sometimes whoever in charge of her music even thought it's a good idea to release a song without MV first, and drop the MV separately weeks later - understandably, both versions suffered. By the time a song is fully released on YT, her listeners would have already listened it over and over many times. This has happened many times and I still have no clue who or why they thought it's a good idea

The songs also have negative input from her so their quality is always highly dependent on who's writing/composing, and she can only do so much with the many ESL lyrics she's given. Can't really flex her skills that well when the composition is pretty much set in stone and you can see that she's much better during her karaoke streams where she's allowed to have fun while singing. Everyone's CCVs on YT are lower during live compared to their actual numbers (which are only available after the video finished processing 2-3 days afterwards). Why are people acting surprise that IRyS doesn't get much views on her music like we didn't know this already? She only has 2 songs close to cracking 2 million on her youtube. Though, if you check her spotify, she has 2 songs that are past that now. 1 over 2 million listens and another that is over 3 million listens. Even the weakest singer in HoloEN does better most times on youtube with a few exceptions here and there over IRyS.

Whether she knows it or not she still can't do a thing about it because it's not her call. Her role in Project: Hope is to be the singer/the streamer/the personality and not the lyricist or the composer. Her songs are as hers as her model is, and if it wasn't for the massive controversies with Kizuna AI and Gamebu changing "VAs" Project: Hope wouldn't be much different than something like Supercell where the main vocalist changed 3 times along it's existence. Granted, Holomem who can write and compose are on the single digits but the ones with orisongs still had a decent input on them since it was paid with their pockets, meanwhile IRyS don't need to pay anything for them but that also makes Cover the one controlling her musical production down to the release schedule, which is why there were so many times when a new song dropped during her breaks and MVs are constantly released months after the songs became available to purchase and streaming.
