clips used to be ultra-important in the pre-EN days because they were also translators. cover would strike them if they did longer takes or entire streams so they literally were forced to condense it to clips.

now? not so useful despite for casuals/highlight reels basically. every now and then there is a legendary moment that you'd wanna go back and see sometimes (like when kiara/moona/peko met in MC for example), it's not like they're 100% useless, but probably 98% of the shit that's clipped wasn't actually that amazing or needed to be. clippers have gone by the wayside because they flood the scene with boring crap and/or make stupid clickbait out of nothingburgers and people catch on and stop watching.
