Kanata just has a really hard time learning inputs no matter the game. I mean, she gloated about "mastering" WASD for months after she got used to it playing ARK. DS1 was still relatively simple, it's either attack, roll, block or parry, and so long as you pay attention there's a nice cadence to it, you just have to know when to do which, but Sekiro expects you to do a lot of quick sequences of inputs, like run>jump>adjust camera desperately trying to make the grapple icon appear>grapple>crouch. That shit completely breaks Kanata's brain. Sometimes she literally can't press jump and forward at the same time if she also has to think about what to do after the jump.

For someone as new as her it's justified, she mostly plays Minecraft after all, she struggled with GTA controls a bit too when she was panicking. It's just experience and game sense, nothing she can't get better at but it takes time for it to become muscle memory and a predictive skill. I want to believe that DS1 being slower in general was a good practice.

I'm pretty pissed production had the audience mic almost muted in the stream audio mix, considering Kanata put that much effort into pushing calls for her performance. Really feels like Cover did her dirty, and all the other girls who did audience-participation heavy songs.

Really, really hope they don't fuck it up again in the future. We had 2+ years after a glorious 1st fes where the crowd being gagged was shouganai due to covid stuff, but for the grand return to cheering to be this nerfed is so sad.

Like I watched Oga's watchalong of Kanata's performance and his chat was telling him all about how Kanata had organised calls for her song. And like midway through he was like "wait so are the calls in this part?", because the crowd was so quiet in the mix he could barely even hear them. So disappointing for her effort to go to waste because of out-of-touch decisions by the live mixers.

Those are all text-only actually. The one popular holo imageboard over there is the futaba one and it's pretty much anti-proof because it has a user moderation system that actually works. Of course, as a consequence it's also kind of sterile, but it's not near as bad as reddit or twitter, and it works really well as a place for talking about ongoing streams.
