What worked for me with Rosemi was:
Refuse to simp-> buy protein -> buy milk -> hit on her at the pool -> refuse to join club -> roses -> purple -> make her sit on your lap at piano. I don’t think you can max Rosemi and Petra in the same run.
Nina was easy:
It’s not about you -> listen to advice -> play games -> rocket launcher -> ditch Reimu -> become pretend boyfriend and you’re done.
I have no clue on how to do Elira, or Pomu. That’s the one major gripe I have with this game, having to ctrl your way to the third act just to see if you succeeded, and then finding out you failed.

Glad this is still alive, and it's interesting to see how different two interpretations of the same prompt can be.

I liked this chapter well enough, though I kinda feel the tension that was had with Anon being a distant weirdo was gotten over a little too quickly, but it's only four people and they'd definitely be the ones to move on the quickest so I suppose there's still plenty of room for drama from that angle. I don't think the chapter is slow in a bad way, either, but I do get the lingering feeling shits gonna go to fuck eventually. The only really egregious thing is this place caring enough about JP news to make the connection about the disappearances.

From the discussion in the last thread, I'm actually formulating a "reverse" of this scenario in my Unhealthy Addictions series, but perhaps not all the way to being murderous, rather focusing on her overt obsessive behaviour. Spoilers?

Since Anon was her ex, she desires to control him, especially since she sees him as a "threat" to her career no thanks to his despicable attitude. She'll manipulate his still unresolved feelings, power harrassment, and even threaten him by using other talents just so that she can sleep peacefully knowing that he can't do much in retaliation.

I actually really want to explore the aspect of Suisei's obsessiveness that's destroys herself as much as it destroys those around her. That slow yet steady tumble into madness and mania, where you don't realize how bad it's gotten until it's too late. Fuck, why do I love writing about suffering so much?

I love the fake 4chan posts you use for interludes in this fic, they do the dirty task of worldbuilding what the internet is seeing while keeping it short and funny.
As for the chapter itself.
Yeah it's slow as you said but it's the good kind of slow buildup, the kind made with purpose. Though you'd probably be pushing your luck if you make another 'slow' one after this.
I like the character interactions and the (unintentional?) contrast between the cold smart sociopath of this fic and dumb brute schizophrenic of heartbreak tokyo really sets the difference between the two fics.
Anyway I hope you can get another chapter out before next year. I wish I could say more about this but this chapter being mostly buildup makes it hard.

As much as I want /wg/-made VN about interesting chuubas to happen, it's kind of impossible:
- VNs take disproportionally more time and money to properly make than, for example, fan projects like Delivering Hope and Holocure
- VNs need at the very least four people: a writer, an artist, a musician and a coder, who must all work in tandem and have the same vision of the final product
- the more time passes, the more vision is going to shift from what originally anons wanted, the more people come in and out through a revolving door
- expectations get higher with time, even when hype dies -- those few people who held out to the game's release will be the first to throw rotten tomatoes at the devs if the game is shit

I guess that's probably because I wanted to start on his journey of acceptance into the stars since that will take some time, and I also wanted to start developing his relationship with Watame without her being constantly afraid of him since I don't plan for this fic to be that long at all. She'll snap right back to being terrified later on, though. I'm glad the chapter didn't feel too slow, and as for /vt/ making some connections, I didn't put too much focus on that because it was only one guy absentmindedly mentioning the disappearances. figured i'd go ahead and post my Ninisanni Scenario Ending+Epilogue Scene Ranking, since these are the main appeal of picking a route and all
1. Elira: uoooh dommy dragon bimbo. Epilogue scene was a bit played out, felt like a bit of a weird power fantasy but i'm still into it.
2. Enna: Actually I have severe issues with her presentation as the 'yandere' character who does only one yandere thing(in her first scene) but her *actual* role as the hatefuck option is excellent. Loved the epilogue scene, could've used some more creative dirty talk.
3. Petra: Her ending was very… it was weird trying to figure out what parts of the sex scene were roleplay and what parts were real, but I enjoyed the heartfelt moments in the epilogue.
4. Nina: Incredibly cute, still think it's weird to put the focus on her parents in that scene but it worked out alright. Lost third to the epilogue scene being not my thing
5. Rosemi: Cute, would netflix and chill again. Gets bonus points for being the only epilogue scene where the protagonist initiates cunnilingues.
6. Millie: The vibe in both the ending and epilogue of exploring unique places with somebody you love is really appealing to me.
7. Pomu(forma la spooky): Unobjectionable. Boring. The baseline.
8. Finana: Not really a fan of 'not-blood related so it's okay'. Go all in or get off the pot. Epilogue was dumb comedy and I found myself clicking through it instead of reading it.

If a sequel ever does come out, I'm a little torn on what it should be about now.

Before the Christmas special, I was entertaining the idea of normally moving onto university with Ayame. The story would mostly revolve around a conflict that arises between you and Ayame where Ayame begins to believe you might have only fallen for her because you were lonely as fuck in high school and had no other women to talk to (barring Aqua). So when your newfound confidence starts allowing you to meet new women at university, Ayame becomes insecure and frets over the possibiltiy of you realising that there's better matches out there, especially since you're becoming more attractive by the day.
You on the other hand have a similar internal conflict, where you become worried that Ayame only likes you because you didn't want to fuck her in high school, and that none of your other qualities really appeal to her. So when she starts meeting other guys at university who *also* don't want to fuck her, you become worried that the only thing keeping her attached to you will disappear.
Of course, neither party actually feels this way and love their partner, but a new environment, some stress and a lack of communication lead to a few messy arguments. It's only the vaguest of concepts I have in my head, but I also had ideas for being the middleman that helps Ayame reconnect with her parents. There might also be a critical point in the relationship where you try to break up with her because she went to a party, got completely hammered and while half-conscious, got fucked by another guy. It wasn't willingly but... she may have had enough clarity to say no. Then at the relationship's lowest point, you find comfort in a certain woman who's been taking interest in you for a while... a certain blonde. Her name is... (I haven't actually thought of who will try to cuck Ayame yet. What's a good Ms. Steal Yo Man?)
Basically a lot of drama, half of which I'm not sure I'll be able to do justice.

And then... there's the version you suggested, which I started considering after throwing in the yakuza daughter references without really thinking. And I gotta say, I do love my action scenes.

From what I see the main draw would be 'testing the relationship' the university idea does it in the conventional dramatic direction while the Yakuza action tests it in a more direct physical way. Either way it probably won't jive together if you go for both because as funny as it is to imagine the story going from action packed gunfight to worrying about if Ayame and (You) are really meant to be together to shirtless fistfight I'm not sure a story could fit those together.

You're probably right, besides the talent part. I was thinking it'd be more about Anon and Ayame getting used to being together after the honeymoon phase is over rather than falling in love twice, but it definitely wouldn't have the same magic unless I pull gold outta my ass. The cast of Our Cures are probably the characters I've enjoyed writing the most out of any I've breathed life into, so of course I'd love to keep exploring them, but it makes just as much sense to let them rest as it does to write a sequel. I'd hate for them to overstay their welcome, so I might leave them alone and let Anon and Ayame enjoy their happily ever after together. That's not where I'm getting hung up on. It's the scene where you either have to defend Millie or side with Reimu that seems to flip the coin. Letting Millie have her fun with the and later going with Reimu to the school gate at night doesn't seem to make the difference.
