I never believed she needed to stay with Niji, its clear the restrictions of being a large corporate Vtuber were too much for her. As someone who enjoys a lot of phase Connect and Idol Corp streamers, the overly-stiff professionalism she faced is why I prefer these companies. At the end of the day I don't think she wanted to change her routine and ways especially since being a Niji didn't provide her anymore support or money than when she was an Indie. She didn't want to change so she ignored her senpai/genmates and probably only made those promises to change to Finana so she'd get off her back. Still none of the Indies she worked with in her PL have accused her of gaslighting and there are no past signs of malicious behaviour so I don't believe she had the bad intentions they are claiming.

If anything has come out of this, its confirmation that its better to stay as a large Indie rather than join the increasingly saturated new gens of Niji. I won't hate on Finana or her genmates though I think Kotoka handled her statement wrongly. I will still hate Niji, mainly because I have always believed they have mismanaged the Corp and are carried by talent by Finana, Vox and Rosemi. I will keep supporting her once she returns since I do not believe she is a bad person and neither Niji or any of the Livers can convince me otherwise.

I know there's a lot of shitposting going on here, but that video really doesn't explain anything. If Finana explained what was the advice that she gave Zaion you could possibly come up with something, but there's nothing to go off of. Did Zaion listen to Finana's advice, but made a genuine mistake/forgot the advice? Did Zaion blow off Finana's advice, because it was something she already knew (OBS tips perhaps)? Was there an actual misunderstanding between staff like she says and bias has made her believe that Zaion legit didn't take her advice at all?
In order to clear any of this up you would need to hear Zaion's story. Also none of what she said sounds like Zaion was personally being hostile with Finana. If she did blow off her advice, that's Finana taking it to personally to think she blew it off to be malicious towards her. Everyone has their own way of doing things and there's no clear "right way" to do streaming. No matter what Nu-Nijifags have to say, Zaion's way of streaming got her numbers. She was the second most watched in Xsoliel behind Hex, who let's be honest is not entertaining and only gets numbers because femcels go "omg low voice".
