Finally got around to watching the Deco*27 previews, while I'm certainly excited, though some of the instrumentals on his older songs sound rather similar to one another. Take Kiara and Mumei's cover into Mori's, the guitars, the drums, the tempo, and even the vocal progression, make it sound like Mori's cover song is simply a continuation of Kiara and Mumei's, with a key change thrown in for good measure. I'll probably still buy the CD anyways lmao. On the other hand, Suisei's original seems like it's worth the price of admission alone, I don't have any of the same complaints for the originals.

I kind of want to share a rrat that I've had in my head for awhile: some people criticize, especially early on, that Mori wasn't really idol material. And I think "what if that's actually why Yagoo wanted her?"

EN was going to be for a western audience and they didn't have a lot of complete data on how the west would feel about idols and idol culture, so, they picked out someone who was very 'unidol-like' as part of seeing how Myth does in the West. It's possible Cover might have actually looked into some of her other music and been like "yep, this is what we need." Or she was just so kakkoi.

My feelings on it are early HoloEN days felt like management was going to keep things isolated and geared towards a regular streaming audience, the girls themselves embraced being Holos and wanted the full experience.
