Because that narrative was made entirely to shit on Kiara with the basis on that she was moved to EN because she's not good enough to be a part of the JP branch, as well as it being used to say that Kiara hated the entirety of the 5th gen branch, which was pretty clear wasn't true not even a month into Myth's lifespan. Not to mention that Kiara never applied for the 5th gen, from her own words, which to this day the only counterargument I've seen for that point is "no she didn't, she's lying" and she would have no reason to lie about that considering multiple other members have talked about applying to hololive and being rejected before, there's even a possibility that IRyS was based on some of her own words. And to add onto that, not only does it not fit with Kiara's story of how she got in, if you even took a second to look over the entire story, it does not make Kiara look bad at all, which the entire purpose of the narrative was to make Kiara look bad and establish ground for "she hates 5th gen and Polka!".
