My theory, at least when it comes to JP fans, is that the JP growth in the last year or two is mostly with casual fans who aren't going to give a shit if any language other than Japanese is spoken. Being new fans, they also weren't around during the early days of EN when JP and EN interacted more, and without that background people like Ina are basically unknown to them so they'll just go to some other JP who is streaming at the same time. Probably the same thing happened with EN, be their increase of newer fans with no interest/knowledge of JP was smaller and didn't overcome the early bandwagoners leaving, hence overall recline in addition to JP being debuff.

Anycolor's system is to give them an avatar to operate. Whether they perform well or not is up to the operator. The livers can use it however they pleased based on the agreements they have.
Anycolor has an exploitative business model but at least you can use the avatar and then stream during your free time which may bring you extra cash.

This is where overlaps come into play. There are bleeds after an hour because of overlaps, any kind of overlap. Overlaps affect CCV. Your skill at keeping it will be a factor but the skills of those overlapping you also affects your numbers. Basically, it is not purely your own skill issue when factors out of your control are in play.
But still, gross CCV retained during a stream is still the best metric to measure skills, in which we do not have access with and is only approximated by net CCV growth/bleed.
