Ophie separately popped off by doing voice impersonations of several big-name chuubas and catching the algorithm the first couple of times (her thumbnail game is very much on point). Rya on the other hand... kinda just hasn't done anything noteworthy. She does a good job playing a character, but it's not even a niche or high-demand character (people who want it have options like Charzu and Isla from /pkg/ or Lili from MyHoloTV) and it's a little hard to reconcile with her preferred content. Also I had a quick check through her VOD archive and it seems like she started dropping the kayfabe voice around half a year ago, and it's a quite dramatic pitch change.

That's so interesting, I wonder if my wife's past as a real (not kayfabe) Japanese idol isn't well known in the vtuber community? I mean, Pandora definitely knows, and so do one or two other vtubers whom I shall not name because PL. I'm sure even Kiara knows. It's definitely not a mystery.

I would argue that Pippa interviewing Nyaru about idol culture that one time before changing the video to to cosplay culture, wasn't really an example since Pippa had a few vtubers who are part of her "grift" group.

It might be my wife doesn't want to get involved with Kiara, for rrat reasons, or anyone else but I guess I can only speculate.
