Are you ready for more unfunny clips of the same stuff said all the time being put up now that clipping will become more accessible?

sidenote: Are there any decent clip youtube or twitter channels out there that aren't so obnoxious? Doesn't matter if it's only for one vtuber or for many.

I watch streams and use streamable to clip funny moments. I assume this is more about them stealing money and views from your Oshi? If so, think about how many people would be at first turned away by the long stream/VoD times who decide to give them a shot because they liked some clips.

Clip function loads the original video on the clip timestamps it seems, it isn't posted on your channel and just sits in your personal clips tab. You can only share it by direct link.

Actually, I think this is good on a couple of fronts.

Makes it harder for all those EN clippers posting almost unedited clips to fill their pockets by removing views from the actual streams.
>no edits or baiting thumbnails
you watch chuubas for the content, not to see funny maymay reference and exciting zoom-in of the month
>incentivizes translations and in-context cutting
So people actually putting in effort and transforming content in a meaningful way don't compete with more popular clippers (I figure this is more of a problem for EN than for JP).

no more rrats born from vague references and misinterpretations because you're too lazy (kind of understandably, though) to search for 15 seconds in a 6 hour video, just based off memory.

You're going to be there for your oshi and tell her that you love and support her, because she deserves your love and attention rather than some guy causing drama on some site because he is on some discord saying some unsolicited things about her, and you're going to bring evidence of being there with her with you and encourage everyone to do the same because your oshi loves you and you are not going to let her down by watching clips by some guy etc.

Korone puts out too much content for me to follow, I still try to catch her live as often as I can but I rarely watch her vods. That said, I'd rather watch parts of a vod than clips. Same for multiple other JPs. The only EN I can stand is Gura

This. YouTube is introducing 'Twitch-like' features but are changing them so that they aren't straight up copying them, with this and the new 'raid-like' feature being examples. The Clip feature is really only effective for sharing 1 minute or less segments with other people.

Clipfags aren't bad. It's just 4chan rrats looking for the outrage of the month. And, let's be real, wouldn't many petty losers be irked by the popularity and (alleged) income of others? Especially if the success seems undeserved and attributable to luck? It's not unlike how a few ethots despised Gura when she first started. Clippers on face value are not bad. As previously mentioned, Hololive wouldn't be as popular as it is now without clippers. Even EN would probably have fewer people without clippers.
The problem arises when clippers start competing with each other. This creates scenarios where clippers are misrepresenting the talents (something Ame has complained about multiple times), chasing drama (like how multiple people clipped Kiara talking about being last to 1m and that's pretty much the only clip out of her TWELVE HOUR STREAM), or utilizing clickbait thumbnails/titles (see also: SodaFunk's entire channel post-HoloEN release). Part of this is the YT Algorithim being a shit and forcing people to do this to get traction, but it's also just shitty practice and generates a lot of the clipper hate you see on this board.
