I started off annoyed that the few anine channels on non-anine discords that I was a part of were getting flooded with Gura and Mori shit when they debuted. Ended up getting recc'd a Korone playing Sonic 2 stream live and had fun keeping it open for an hour or two. Youtube started pushing other shit onto me including Myth and I ended up picking Kiara because AM FROG which had just come out had me rolling. Casually checked in here and there, but the real turning point was the Myth Uno collab. I came here for discussion and saw a ton of people shitting on Kiara and felt bad for her. The more I watched, the more the saviourfagging intensified until it came to a head in late May/early June. Luckily by the time her first birthday was over, she had kinda settled down and found her groove in Austria so her mental stability went up.
In short, no, it's always been Wawa for me.

Looking back the hate was grossly exaggerated. A lot of the main issues stemmed from her roommate saying some really questionable things pre-vtubing and people thinking she will try to inject those beliefs into Hololive as time goes on. The EN scene was new and it wasn't far-fetched to assume this. All culminating in the Vshojo collab where those people were saying "see? we told you so. She wants to destroy Hololive!" It'd be a different thing if the rest of Myth were instead all having fun amazing offcollabs left and right on the daily and we'd be lamenting again how Kiara is the only lonely one, but the way things are going they are just as reclusive as ever, at least when it comes to actual onstream offcollabs, they're not really taking the opportunity to really spam them either.

I'll bet if you sum up the amount of offcollab streams everyone had, after the japan arc is over, Kiara even with the sickness taking a few days out of her would still be okay, while maybe not first, at least surely not last. So, eh, while the level of "disappointed" you are depends on the level of expectations you had going in, if making the most out of the offcollab opportunities is the issue, some other fanbases have more reasons to be "disappointed". I'm also pretty glad, even if it's probably the cause of her current illness, she took the opportunity to bond more with the ID girls, and the unexpected offcollabs she had with them were great and I hope it lays the foundation for more. She's first by SO much, it's not even a competition. Pretty sure, she's first even if you put the rest of EN together or close to it.
It wasn't a slight against Kiara in particular, it's more against all of Myth in particular.
